Help Rom Manager Froyo 2.2

Hi, I'm using froyo and when I try to backup my rom using rom maanager, I get an error saying that it can't verify the signature. Has anyone heard of this before and know a fix?
 
I believe the problem is that in 2.2 Android now requires signed update.zip files. As there isn't any way to self-sign these for applying hacks in ROM Manager or other utilities, they currently do not work like on 2.1
