Root ROM Manager not creating back ups

archipeep

Lurker
So, I finally rooted my phone and am excited about getting into some of the custom ROMS out there, however, I'd like to back things up before I proceed down this path. Downloaded Titanium Backup and did a back up with no problem. Next, downloaded ROM Manager and followed the steps for set up. Pressed the Create Backup button and left the stock name and clicked proceed. Phone restarts, but instead of going into Recovery Mode and creating the backup, it boots into normal mode and the backup is never made.

Anybody got some ideas on this? I've searched the forums and haven't found anything specific to this on my phone.

Thanks in advance.

Rom manager has issues lately. you can do a backup by going in to bootstrap recovery.
hit bootstrap then hit boot recovery. then perform a backup from the recovery menu.

I think its actually the bootstrap that is having issues. If you go into bootstrap, and click bootstrap, then go into rom manager and run the backup, I believe it works.
