Help ROM Manager: reinstall Clockwork?

The_Chief

Accept no imitations!
I have ClockworkMod installed and flashed the VEGAn ROM, made backups, etc. but when I go to make a backup in ROM Manager it tells me I first have to install ClockworkMod! If I do this, will it replace CWM with a comparable version or will it be incompatible? Just curious, as I would like to be able to name the backups. Nothing show-stopping, though.

Thanks :)

It will not interfere with your current version of clockwork, but I have found that ROM manager still has some issues on the g-tab at this point. For example, when you select "create a backup", it will allow you to name the file whatever you want, but you must reboot into recovery manually to get the backup process to start. Seems that the reboot into recovery command does not work from within the app for some reason.

Oh well... not much point in having ROM Manager on it, is there? It's indispensable on the Droid... uninstalling from the gTab. Thanks

Still good if you like naming your backups. After you use the backup option in ROM Manager and reboot in to recovery manually, it will immediately start the backup process with the name you entered in the app.
