Root rom manager wont make backup (X)

I have rooted, updated to 2.2, and have the updated bootstrap, but when i go to make a backup with rom manager after hitting ok when it asks to name the file it does nothing. I also downloaded flyx, but once i get to the point where i check "backup rom and wipe data" i select both, hit ok and it says to hit ok to reboot into clockworkmod recovery but does nothing. not even turn off the phone.
 
double check you have the updated bootstrap and also try pressing flash clockwork at the top of rom manager
and also make sure you have pressed bootstrap recovery in the bootstrap app

Did you run the Droid X Bootstrapper App and click the top option "Bootstrap Recovery"?

Then in rom manager did you click "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" And select Droid X?

Do you still have Root?
 
I have clicked bootstrap recovery and it quickly reports success. i then clicked flash clockwork and still nothing. i am still rooted and have superuser permissions. but still no luck making backups or installing flyX?
 
well then you need to uninstall bootstrap and clear its permissions in the superuser app then reinstall the one I posted earlier and then press bootstrap recovery
 
ok, i went to do that and my super permissions crashed. so i dont think i am fully rooted. does that sound right?

yeah it doesn't seem like you are rooted, you have 2.2 installed already right
and can you use any other root app
 
I had the same issue with my rom manger it was an issue with super user for me. I just put the phone back into 1.6 re rooted everything and installed superuser seperate and re installed 2.2 now everything seems to fine
 
i rooted before i upgraded to 2.2. i had titanium installed, but i just uninstalled it and try to re-install it and i couldnt
