it creates the file 'clockwork' and creates a subfolder for each download automatically when you download a new ROM, theme, kernel, baseband, etc. If you install it via ROM Manager you can navigate to the file and install it, if you are using SPRecovery you'll need to move them to the root of your sd and rename them to update.zip
