Wrong it does:(

And that is correct, there are two Motorola Milestone phones. One is the A853 which is the GSM model and defiinately has the locked bootloader.

The A854 is the CDMA model, and the rumor has it that all the droid A855 roms will work on it, but I only know that from reading the results of a very few. I still don't know for sure if it has the locked bootloader. Can you install a custom recovery on it and if so can you boot directly into it at phone start up? I.E. power off the phone, slide out the keyboard, press and hold the 'x' button while powering the phone on. Then describe what you see there. Or do you have to use bootstrap?

Ok i tryed it. I dont have anything like clockworld recovery or anything but i powerd it on holding x and it pops up with a triangel with a ! In it and a phone under it and boots up regular but idk if i have to have a boot recovery app or anything im new to roms and such

In that case, then, use rom manager to flash clockworkmod recovery and see if it takes. Make sure you get a success message within seconds. If not, just repeat until you do. Then use rom manager to 'backup current rom' and see if it works. If all that works, then may as well try a custom rom if you want.

good luck

I also have the cdma Milestone (A854) and Rom Mgr works fine on it (using the Droid settings). All roms I've used for Droid work fine (until recently...lost 3G capabilities for some reason, but that may be unrelated).

I got the cwmr for under the droid but when i goto install the rom and goto recovery all it shows is the yeild sign and a phone under it. Thats all it shows.

Sounds like ClockWork didn't flash properly. Go into ROM Manager, flash ClockWork. Then flash other recovery. Reflash Clockwork, and try booting into recovery.
