Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Senseless

I would also really like the clock/weather widget back, and not a big fan of the new skin/icons but I can live with it. Been using MNR since the early days of the full Sense version, it's come a long way for sure and I've been pretty happy with it overall. One thing that has irked me though is the noisiness of the headphone out, anyone have the same problem and know the cause? Namely when scrolling through the apps there's a weird scrolling noise, and when I play music through the stock music app there is an audible background hiss.
 
Has anyone had issues with calling? Everytime I call the phone will vibrate as in the call has been started, but then I can't hear anything. (might just be me). Anyone?

Edit: Not the rom, must be VM since there are others reporting it.
 
If Im coming from Harmonia would I still need to do a full wipe or just if its the sense version of MidnightRom?

Is there a way to put the messaging app from vanilla icecream sandwich to this ROM? I don't really like the Htc emoticons :p lol
 
i'm digging it so far, i did like the look of the status bar and icons from the sense midnight rom. the only thing i really need that this is lacking is the Jellybean browser though!

xthedakmanx, love the rom, best one for me so far, but I've got 2 questions:

I flashed this (http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-a...rom-max-battery-life-overclocking-more-2.html) theme over midnightS in order to get the aosp settings, contacts,and dialer, but now there are no 4g options in settings, and no indicator even when I turn it on using a widget. Is there a way I can go about fixing that? Or someone could point in the right direction to flashing it myself that would be cool too..

Also, Google Now..I tried flashing a zip I had a while back that worked with meanRom but nothing seemed to changed this time. Is there anyway to add google now?

I have S-OFF, but I only use Clockwork Recovery. I do not have the option to format my boot partition. Do you foresee any issues with that?
 
Hey dakman. You know I love the Rom, but the update on. 10/19/2012 won't let me save pictures from text messages. Says card is full. But I can still move apps to sd or download from the Web. Your assistance is appreciated.

Try reflashing. It's been working for me fine.

wait @_@ what theme? it's a totally different rom lol. If you're coming from a different rom, you need to full flash.



The roms are still supported! There hasn't been really anything that needs fixed as of recently. And question wise it seems you all have it covered ^_^
 
Hey Dak! First of all, I want to thank you for a great ROM, has worked flawlessly! Only one thing.. Is there any way to take out Nova? You gave us a great stripped down ROM and then stuck us with a launcher not all of us want...

Notice!
Sprint has released some phone updates (as of this posting, which is 11/21/2012), including software and firmware updates. It's highly recommended that, along with this rom (which has the other sprint updates integrated) that you also update your phone's firmware.
To do so, simply download this
Goo.im Downloads - Downloading PG86IMG.zip
Put it in the root of your sd card (Do not extract anything from this. Just download and put it straight on there)
Power off your phone, hold the power button and the volume down button at the same time, and it should do the rest! Just accept the update and you'll be good to go!
(If nothing happens, make sure you select bootloader)

Nm. Found it. It was in the regular folder and not the S one.
 
How can you tell if that Sprint update went through? I didn't get any request to update. All I saw it say was parsing that zip file and then it went back to the main bootloader screen.
 
Directory fixed.

New version inc.


-Changed kernel to verion 3.6.6 (fixes 3D issues among others)
-Changed kernel command line (fixes some more issues)
-Change min speed to 384 mhz
-Change max overclock to 1.566 ghz
-Change gov to lagfree
-Change screenoff gov to conservative
-Change install script (formatting, misc)
-Change version number in build.prop for the sprint updates (ty to Hollaback12786 for noticing)
