Root [ROM] Mobster Rom HD/Lite - 031513

Well, I guess it's time to give yours a try Mobster. The one thing I'm noticing and liking about it is it's loaded, and I'm a "Bells & Whistles" type of guy.
Just tell me that the cameras (still & camcorder) are working. I don't have 4G in my area, and I could care less about 3D.

Is there anyway to get an icon on the status bar telling me that GPS is active? I haven't tried too many ROMs on my OG EVO, but I think i recall that every custom ROM lacks GPS notification. Is this difficult to do? Could it be added?

You can check under Leedroid tweaks.

Status bar > hide specific icons

check to see if its hidden or not.

Got one more thing though that my wife just caught.
Is this Jellybean? It says 4.0 if I'm reading this correctly. I'm trying to stay with JB nowadays.

4.0 is ics 4.1 and above is JB

Hey flashed your light version and love it, question though know of anything to basically recalibrate my battery statistics , my rec. Says something diff than when I'm in android

i have the same issue. i have tried BatteryCalibra and wiping battery stats in recovery, neither helped.

It shows the icon ONLY when I am using Navigation. Simply having GPS on without running a Nav app doesn't show the notification as being on. I'd prefer to see it on anytime it's on...but I don't think that's possible.

screen mostly according to Battery Use... when i watch utube videos my battery drains dramatically, we are talking like 40% in 20 mins. sometimes % would drop like 20 % at a time. also while charging % would like hang around 70 % then a few mins later it would be at 100 % ....

Have you tryed to full charge it while the phone is off" maybe overnight"

Do you guys occasionally see the stock 3G icon appearing in white for brief moments usually as 3G is enabling, before disappearing and being replaced by the small blue one baked in?
I don't know how any of that mess works, so I was wondering if the "loophole" is to hide the icon and replace with your own, and sometimes, the original icon is able to break free from whatever is hiding it...but then Mobster HD comes along and smacks the original icon on the head and makes it go away again.

I am looking for theme options for this ROM, but google search is bringing me here to this thread, and I haven't see any concrete posts that show how to do it successfully.

At this point, I'd like to change some of the icons on the status bar, and I'd like to add a little more blue to all the icons under SETTINGS as well as the icons in QUICK SETTINGS pull down.

Can I get a hold of all the icons used, and modify them with a splash of blue? Then what? It is as simple as swapping them out somehow, or would Mobster need to "recompile" or whatever the term is for baking them in.

My photobucket isn't working, so I've attached the image to give an idea of what I'd like to do with the icons. I feel a little more blue would make them POP a little more. I'd take my time more for the final product, this is just a rough draft.

What you can do is take the apk which for those icons is settings.apk if I'm not mistaken, and use something on your pc like 7zip to open it. Navigate to /res/drawable-hdpi and find the icons you want to color. Color and save them. Then right click the apk and choose 7zip > open archive and then drag them into the archive.

Then you can make a flashable zip to overwrite the apk and set the correct permissions, and voila! As for the flashable...I'd write that out but I'm at work. Perhaps someone such as Ramjet or Mobs will explain that part?

Oh and for editing the images...stay away from anything named .9.png for now. And I recommend GIMP for the editing. It's free, and works well in my experience.

I found a lot of those icons, 700+. I didn't see the lock, or the gate from my screenshot in that folder. Did I overlook it, or is it elsewhere?

Flashed this to the wife's phone, s on.using smart flash in 4ext. Play store will not down load anything. What step was missed? Wiped data for play store but still a no go.

Edit: must have been bad flash. Flashed and all is good now.
