Root [ROM] Mobster Rom HD/Lite - 031513

Mobster, this ROM bye far is my favorite. I do have a couple questions .Is there a way to use the stock launcher and be able to toggle the status bar by swiping like in the halo launcher? And how can I use the stock HTC widgets with halo?
 
yeah youll have to get a knock off widget, a uccw sense themed widget or something similar if you wanna use a different launcher.
 
Hey Mobster, I'm wondering if you know anything about why one cannot uncheck the 'USB debugging' option? I've noticed this over the last few builds. It seems to be an issue with Leedroid Tweaks I believe. I'm not sure that USB debugging is actually on even though it stays checked, but everytime you uncheck it and reboot, it is checked again on startup.

I have it set to do that since alot of root related actions require USB Debugging even if it doesn't involve a USB Connection............ anyway unchecking it will work but it will go back to the default after a Reboot

Great ROM Mobster! Just have one minor problem, in music its not seeing some of my music files that it used to see. I moved them to the MUSIC folder, but still not showing up.

Not sure what to tell you since im not getting that problem but you might want to check your SD Cards Folder Structure i have my music folder named as "music' on the root of the SD Card with more folders separating Albums and Singles so the path will be "/mnt/sdcard/music/album/song.mp3"

.......... you could also try wiping app data, cache and dalvik cache, and rebooting

EDIT: its also a possibility you have some DRM Protected MP3s..... that would prevent them from showing up in the music player much like DRM protected Images won't show up in the Gallery
 
Alright, thanks. They worked before on 2.4, same music player and everything. I'll try all that, see if it works. I do that same structure too. All of my music appears except these new few mp3's.
 
I like the ROM overall but I'm wondering what kernels are compatible and where to find them. I see one other kernel thread here so I was wondering if there's somewhere else I should be looking. I was hoping for something similar to the radio thread.

So I'm wondering:

1) What kernels are compatible and what do people recommend? I would love something with sweep to wake (or a way to work that into the default kernel.)
2) Beats only works with the default music app, correct? If so, is there a way to remove it? If not, is it working just like DSP manager would?
3) Is there any other planned work for the ROM? Icon consistency in the settings menu perhaps? Sense 4.0/4.1 ports?

Either way, fantastic job, I love the look of it. I was fine with how the other ROMs felt but I think Sense 3.6 just doesn't look very good and clashes with things that aren't Sense. Bringing things closer to stock ICS is a much more pleasant experience.

i get same error, not just on this rom, last time i got it i ended up backing up my sd card and formatting it and then putting the backup on again.... not trying to do that this time

Yes when listen to music i use the Beats Audio System Wide Settings along with the Beats Audio Sound Enhancement. But when i play Videos i use the the System Wide Beats Audio with the HTC Surround 5.1. This Setup sounds amazing :)

benchmark scores dont mean shit.. if you turn vsync off you will get 4000+ quadrant scores. but then it tends to make video playback look a little grainy sometimes. do some real world tests. open a few apps. open the browser. time both and the re do them with a different kernel. the times will be better with mobster rom. I have used many different roms and Mobster continues to amaze me. Project Butter makes the difference.

Project butter isn't listed as a 2.5 feature. Maybe mobster can verify. If so I might be returning from sense 4.1 sooner then planned
