Root [ROM] Monsteria Project

4 was initially what I wanted to use, but I ran into a "No Poweroff" problem. Saved me anguish. ☕
 
I am getting it ready for flash now. Going by screenies it looks really nice and clean, which is what I like. Plus, those 3 apks you installed are exactly what I need right off the bat, minus Titanium Backup Pro, but I already have that.

I will let you all know how it goes. Looking foward to this.

Thanks man, Good to see another person giving some Monster love around here. Just make sure to give credit where it is due.

BTW, do you plan on doing some further theming to it?

It is going to take a while for me to get used to not having the awesome black/blue super clean theme of M4. But I will make it my own if I keep it.
 
Might, really would like to see what someone else could do to it.

And yes I know I need to cite credit since without the folks coding and skinning no ROM would be complete. Just taking my time, fatigue and all. :o
 
Thanks. For some reason the digital clock widget isn't the right size from the initial boot, but goes back to the original size after being removed once. I wasn't going to lose my sanity over such a minor thing.
 
For your next update, why not ask Req0 if you can use the OC'd kernel and Stock ++, add some build.prop tweaks, and you should be good ;D
 
Good job man. I needed something new. Nice choice on the touchwiz theme. Monster 3 was my least favorite theme (no offense geno and Paris)

UGGGHHHH thats it i am hanging myself in the shower now!!!! lol no offense taken it wasnt the best theme ive ever done lol
 
Stock ++ was hanging on my phone so I didn't go with it, I don't know it was the kernel or the fact the phone really doesn't support EXT4. It was buggy like all hell.
 
Just letting everyone know, the Monster theme update goes works perfectly over this.

I couldnt deal with the white status bar icons and the non-black and blue phone. Now it really looks great.

I thought I had a problem, but I just put the phone down on first boot because it was taking forever to leave the black screen after the Monster theme flash.

But it booted it and it all looked good. Black Lock sliders, phone app, blue icons on staus bar...everything Monstered up very nice.

If you flash Monster theme, just be patient on first boot. It will eventually leave the black screen.

Didn't think about the beats audio, Volume+ emulates it and I think it's deafening most of the time. :thrasher:

Yeah it's pretty much good to go with any changes you'd want.

This is the reason I choose to flash this rom to begin with. Yesterday I flashed Beats. After boot it would FC Volume+ constantly and was also giving me headaches with LP+.

So I decided to just try out a new ROM and wound up with this.

I figured that most people never flashed Beats the right way to begin with. If you do not mount SYSTEM then you will think it is installed but it never does. It just goes through the motions but never takes. The original thread never told to mount system.
 
I love everything about the Xperia Arc launcher EXCEPT for the lame dock.

I use Launcher PRO+ and customize the hell out of my dock. I know I can reconfigure a little with the Arc dock, but nowhere near the leve of LPs.

What sucks I wan to use the LP dock but be able to keep the cool animation effects that come from Arc launcher, like the way things float around the screen and such. Plus the App Drawer is really cool too, but when I run the LP dock I lose all the other cool functions of Arc.

Any way around this?

That is a complicated question, I don't have an answer for it. I'd suppose that someone would have to script it into a skin for LP+. The Animations are just built in to the launcher.
 
there is an samsung admire rom that i love called monsteria plus beats. i love the every thing about it but that dr.dre beats thing is installed and when i try to turn up the bass on my music app, playerpro, it says that another audio app is running or being used please reboot if this error continues. so i want to take the tweak out. HOW? thanxx. the tweak is installed into the rom. could i use root explorer?
