Root [ROM] Nero v5 (KA5) /voodoo *Team Whiskey*

I'm having the same issue as Zorlac; my apps close if I press Home. Rooted the phone yesterday (my first time) and flashed the KA5 with TouchWiz and left Voodoo enabled. Only Market apps I have are games and a few other apps, but no task killer other than stock.

I also noticed the battery drains a little faster and runs hotter.
 
Last night, I left WEB and contacts open....this morning, (7 hrs later) to my surprise they both remained open.
As soon as I used my camera, BOTH the web and contacts shut down, green loading bar, with circle for web, and unusually long delay to load contacts. This is getting kinda annoying, especially when I try to show off the speed of my new ROM.
Anybody figure this out yet? I tested this against my gf's STOCK vibrant. Her apps always stay running unless forced shutdown by task manager.
ALSO what the hell is the little satellite blinking on my camera screen????
When pressed it takes me to firmware update, and notifies me of additional charges!
 
Anybody running NERO V5 w/ voodoo..could you please do a simple test and report your findings..

Open WEB. contacts, and camera. and Something else...(maybe email, or Pandora)
Then open other apps, such as YOUTUBE, Market and Phandroid. Mess around with these apps for a bit then hit the home button.

Is WEB still running? Did it have to reload?
Is contacts still up? Did it have lag and reload time?
My battery is lasting waaaaay longer than it ever did btw..

Just kidding. I did your test and all mine remained active. But here's the thing... I'm new to this custom ROM thing too; but I've done it a few times now and I've noticed that it takes a couple days for things to completely smooth out. I have no idea why, but it

Go ahead, if you have time and mess inside of YOUTUBE...watch videos and then open your music player and listen to a song, then try WEB....

After a few reboots, it's seems to be back to normal...
Man, this is one responsive and super-fast ROM!
I should have noticed this in stock rom, but MAYBE using youtube, and other web apps makes my WEB reload to GOOGLE which IS IN FACT my homepage setting...when I hit web app on home screen....
 
Okay. After a few reboots my phone is now running flawlessly and, contrary to my initial experience after only one boot, the battery is now lasting longer. Live and learn. Next ROM - if there is a "next" - I'll charge battery fully and maintain patience after the first day or two.
 
You mean your APPS are staying open ALL THE TIME? (unless you force close of course..)

GodDammit! I can't figure this out. 4 flashes later and still the same app closing BS.
 
Consider also, that this is a phone. It is not meant to leave everything open an running all the time. Being able to do so may have been a flaw in your original stock ROM, and though it worked well for you it was not supposed to do this. Just a thought.
 
Just flashed, letting it sit for few, then a couple - a - reboots later, I'll let ya know...
Have you tried any of the other Kernals?
