Heres My New Rom for zte Racer

listed in Red is whats new

* Based on Vip Serbia (VIP Droid)
* New Settings now with GSM Only Mode :D
* Enabled H icon
* New ZTE Boot Screen
* A2sd+
* New Live Wallpapes From Zte X850 galaxy,magic smoke,thunderstorm,vodafone wave
* Permanently Rooted
* All 3 Crap Removed
* New Launcher2 With 5 Screens And With All Faulty Widgets And Icons Fixed screen shorts below is what it looks like
* Browser Fixed Now With All 3g uk Bookmarks Removed And Gose To Google Mobile
* New Google Markert
* New Google Voice Search
* New Google Gesture Search
* Status Bar Now Smaller When Closed
* New Alarm Clock
* New setup Manger
* new apn added


first things frist if you anit downloaded clockwork recovery then do so

* download this http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-race...-for-zte-racer/

* ok take out the battery and wait 5 secs then put it back in the press the vol + and the power button it should boot only to the green android logo and the red light stays on

* extract it to your c:\ then inbstall the drives if needed then click install-recovery-windows.bat once done the fone will reboot


go here
* rename to update.zip

* put the update.zip on your sd dont extract it

* switch phone off the hold the vol- button and press the power button it will boot into recovery


* if you what a2sd to work youll need to partition your sd card look on the internet theres loads of ways to do it

* a2sd will install all your application to your sd

next ....

* in recovery click wipe data/factory reset
* click apply sdcard:update.zip
* once complete click reboot system now
 
oke i downloaded the file but it is a txt file. how do i change it??
im currently running the rickywyat rom v2 . cheers. help please ASAP

oh yeh and the clock work recovery mod is the old 1. i tried to rename the update file. didnt work. i tried adding it to archive. didnt work! help please
 
Thanks RikyWyatt great rom just one problem at the moment i keep getting force close on gmail app any idea's why.

ok i installed it and booting. the boot animation is not stopping it just keep starting again and again.
then 30 mins later it said the sim is locked??? help please

go all in the beginning. format card copy update zip renamed as I said in the above posts from tex to zip format. start a recovery, click wipe data / factory reset, click apply sdcard: update.zip and click once complete reboot system now as it was rickywatt and explained in the manual. this should solve the problem and that everything is working ok.

Go to this Free Instant Unlock Codes for Alcatel, Huawei Modems & ZTE Mobile Phones website and registration imei of your phone's manufacturer and the brand that is zte racer and get a number that you post some when it appears that window and unlock the SIM card. If you do not know send me imei on PM and I will send you a code to unlock the SIM card.
 
oke thanx. sorry but i tried to partition my 8gb sd card using the paragon partition thingy and now my pc wont recognise my sd card. :(
loads of linux ext2 and ext 3 formats came up and im really lost. i need to know how to
get my full 8gb back

lol i just left ubuntu. to hard to use. i stick with windows 7.
just to tell u that i need to completely format my sd card back to 8 gb.
right now when i plug my phone in it only shows 3 gb max. i need to delete the partition.
