Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

Great Work!!!

So far the only problem I am having is with network browsing. I have been using ES File Explorer to access the shares on our network without any problems before installing this ROM. Now some pcs are accessible, some are not, specially the ones on remote locations. How can I replace the missing network features that were removed in this ROM? Thanks!
 
I noticed wifi tether doesnt work after turning screen off unless it came with the rom. if i install it from an apk i have to have the screen on for it to stay connected to data. where should the wifi tether apk be put so that upon reboot it will work as if it came with rom?

btw, i did some more reading up on some of the tweaks in the rom, removed ones that had no affect, adjusted ones with great affects, and did some more install script tweaking..

soo is anyone awake and willing to test???

this should be the last NEEDED update to this rom, i personally think it is 10x better

all i ask, please let it sit for a few minutes after installing before you mess with it... let the screen black out for like 2-3 minutes..

Installing right now, anything in particular you would like me to test? (wifi, sms, etc.)

Been running for a while(40min) and everything seems good, runs real smooth.
Any details on the changes?

I think you would need to add cifs.ko and tun.ko modules to the system/lib/modules and have them load automatically at boot time.

The Plague_Esteem_ZVD kernel by PG has them and I do not know how applying that kernel is going to affect your ROM.

If WiFi tether does not work then go to Phone Settings then WiFi, hit menu button under screen, select Advanced, then select WiFi Sleep Policy and choose never. This should fix your issue.

Try that and still no wifi tether it was doing the same thing under versio 1.4
 
Really want 1.5 but the wifi tether app is not there at least not yet

how come the swype themes work on other roms but when i install them on this rom i get fc swype everytime?
