Root ROM Overload

For the last couple of weeks, it seemed like the ROM community had died down a little bit without a whole lot of new stuff being released. Now it seems like there's a new one on XDA every 5 minutes.

Sense Leak
Kings modified Sense Leak
Virus has like two ports, one included Gingerbread and Sense 2.1
Mik just release a mod of Virus's Gingerbread/Sense 2.1 release
Kings just released R4 for Froyo
Kings also just released R3 for Gingerbread AOSP.
And I know there are more that I just can't try because I know I won't have time (Misfit has a couple out there too I think).

My head is spinning.

I think we are going to be seeing a whole new batch too with the leaked 2.3.3 release supposedly in testing for the Evo. Unfortunately it only has Sense 1.0 but I am sure that someone will get 2.0 or higher working on it as the basis for Sense is included in the leak.

Yeah I agree. Thinking I might roll with what I have till the end of the week....see what else comes out
 
So many roms to choose from but most all of them are alike and not much different.... Any one know of a rom that is apart from the rest? Thanks!

I'm just looking for a ROM that doesn't disable/kill 4G, GPS, Sprint's VVM, and MMS. I want to flash so I can get rid of the bloatware ; get better battery life ; and *hopefully* faster 3G [yes I did Mr Ed's 3G fix* and it didn't do much..

Try a Verizon prl. What is your speeds now? You are either getting Max or have a tower out.

I usually hover around 650 - 700 down / 450 - 550 up [ 4G radio off ]

Just re-ran speedtest 5 times and got the following:

Test 1 - 1847 down / 463 up
Test 2 - 885 down / 109 up
Test 3 - 830 down / 313 up
Test 4 - 1582 down / 421 up
Test 5 - 877 down / 657 up

I'm in zip code 75050

PRL is 60677
 
I've noticed this too. About two weeks ago, I checked the XDA community, and there was nothing new. And I check again on Saturday, and there's a BUNCH of new ROMs to choose from now. I just went with CM7.
