Install instructions
* Install the latest recovery. As of this writing, it is CWMT 6.0.1.1. See other threads in this section for how to obtain and install it.
* Download the ROM, verify the md5sum, and put it on the root of your sdcard.
* Download JB 4.2 (not 4.1) gapps from goo.im, verify the md5sum, and put it on the root of your sdcard.
* Power off your phone.
* Hold volume-down and power until you see the scary warning screen.
* Confirm by tapping the power button twice.
* Make a backup of your current system (use the tar method!)
* Do a full wipe / factory reset.
* Install the ROM.
* Install gapps.
* Reboot.

first reply! woohoo!!!

The "like" button needs to be changed to a "dead sexy" button for things like this...

Does BT work? Without crashing and needing a restart? Phone didn't add this part when I posted for some reason.

What are the odds that they have a changelog of some sort (or the github for commits)?

Thanks TDM, you're the MAN.

It's going to be the same as cm and aokp, since it melds both. I believe they stay fairly current, too.

Cool wasn't sure if they did full merges since they also pull from paranoid.

Figured they would have to cherry pick and mod the code to get everything to play nice.

Most of the base is CM of course. The AOKP stuff is build 1 which is relatively old. I'll look into updating that. Not a clue about the PA stuff.

Frankly, AOKP hasn't changed much, other than some stuff being pulled... the core is the same, so an older version isn't the end of the world to me. I didn't notice any difference in some of the updates I flashed.

Anyone notice a bit of a lag with closing and opening apps? I've got my cpu set to 1.512, with interactive and cfq, but it doesn't seem as responsive to app kills/activations like AOKP was. Not a dealbreaker, but a little annoying when trying to use multiple apps @ once.

So how smooth is this compared to cm10.1 and aokp? I might try this if only a little performance is lost

Is about the same performance wise for me.

Until you enable init.d and run the v6 supercharger script it's petty rough though. I ended up running the shell script and the letting it patch the other files through adb. Went from an average of 90 Meg's of free ram to an average of 250 free. Not that that should matter much on android but it makes a difference.

Mine's a bit laggy but maybe it needs a few reboots and time to settle. Anyone know how to edit the shortcuts in the notification dropdown menu? I'm trying to add GPS on/off, tethering, etc.

settings - customization - system - status bar - quick settings panel - tiles and layout.

To add press the plus, to remove, long press the tile and drag it to the bin. Tethering is called "WiFi AP" in this setting set

I know its been covered before but I can't seem to find it... how do I get rid of the nav bar? I switched to phablet and gained a navbar that I can't seem to get rid of.

Edit: I tried settings > ROM control > navigation bar > menu location > don't show... still shows.

There should be a bar where you can slide all the way down to 0% and then it should be gone not sure exactly where it is though

pulled the kmsg from a reboot I just had. This has happened a few times.

I had the phone charging and was listening to Pandora on LTE when this occurred.

Modem crash. Sorry nothing we can do about that, the problem is likely in the baseband code.

Should be under Paranoid Android settings, navigation bar size.

Do you think flashing the baseband might resolve it?

I find wholly ironic that the one thing crashing on my phone is the phone/modem itself. POS LG phone. Lol.

I don't know... I never had service on my spectrum. But if it happens frequently you might try.
