Root [rom] pac-man

I'll give it a try.

I ran supercharger, but my battery started draining terribly because the phone wasn't going into deep sleep.

Yea, it as weird. The response seemed a bit better, but I could actually see the percentage go down on the battery. So I may tweak it and see if I can alter response, but not mess with battery life. I bet it was the kernel tweaks. I saved the log, so I'll go over it this weekend.

Turned my WiFi back on.....

For those who want to try boosting performance with V6supercharger but can't get it working so well.... I've made a couple flashable zips being that they aren't really dependent on this rom, I didn't want to bury them in the thread.

http://androidforums.com/spectrum-a...tweaks-init-d-v6supercharger.html#post5756136

Those should enable init.d, add a patched services.jar and the V6SuperCharger script to /system/xbin/, and the third one's pretty self explanatory.

Like I've said a number of times. The pacman rom for some reason seemed REALLY laggy to me until I ran V6SuperCharger. After I did that, it runs amazingly smooth, as long as I keep the UI at phablet or smaller.

got another reboot:

I believe it's the entropy tweak and all the init tweaks enabled. That's what I did on pacman, but didn't on aokp and it's noticeably smoother and more responsive. The init tweaks may be enough, but the entropy seems to improve. I did the batter tweaks too so I'm getting better batter stats , too

Oh and no more reboots with the tweaks, so far. :)

My p930 suddenly started to behave today for some reason. For several weeks I've been getting at least 6%/hour battery drain in deep sleep. But today it's been around 2%.

I asked rmcc about the battery drain last week to see if he knew which component wasn't sleeping properly and he didn't know how to find out. So I guess it's going to be trial and error. I suspect it's Bluetooth though.

Also tried an mhl cable. Worked on AOKP 4.1 but not AOKP 4.2. On 4.2 the screen seems to go into landscape but no signal on the TV.

But I was able to use a Bluetooth keyboard on 4.2.

That might explain why my drain is more like 1% per hour or less... I don't use or ever turn on bluetooth.

GPS Works perfect. I get locks within seconds and I even get locks indoors, which I wasn't able to on stock.

Odd. I shut my GPS off due to privacy reasons. I turned it on to test GPS out. 30 satellites in view, no lock in 5mins. Odd thing about it is GPS test app had up to 9 satellites in use but no lock.

Dirty flashed, no luck. Clean flash, no luck.

GPS worked on aokp, which I assume use the same blobs. When I get home from work I will pull a logcat.

Edit: still using zv7 baseband fwiw.

So. Today I'm at work stuck in training for 8 hours. I turn on airplane mode for all but my lunch hour and like 10 minutes during a break. I drop 70% through the day.

Looking through it seems like WiFi was on for 3 hours for some reason. And my number 1 process user was alarmdroid. Think it glitches out and sucked my battery dry. Fwiw the app almost made me late for work because the alarm went off with no sound. Kinda lends to it glitching and sucking the battery

Latest Build? You mean the april 15th build? I don't have any app closes... try fixing permission in CWM maybe?

Yeah April 15th build. I cleared dalvik, cache and fixed permission. Nothing still. At first thought it was just my Google apps doing it so I reflashed gapps but its all of the apps. Should I try a clean install? It might be because I dirty flashed.

Could be. When I flashed from the first PAC to the build from the 15th, I had a couple apps just close as soon as they opened without error. I reflashed GAPPS and was good to go. I assumed the script just didnt carry gapps forward correctly.

192-1512MHz ondemand deadline (never changed it from rom install)

ya i am on v6 supercharger...and only have pimp my rom installed. loads better on my extended battery. wifi tethered 2 laptops and ran pandora for 6hrs no issues in a datacenter. 10% an hour. if i plugged it in via usb to charge it would hold % but not increase.

today 5hrs pandora, 300 miles in and out 1x/3/4g in the hills of Pa. 30min talk. 2hrs in a room with no service, radio and wifi left on. down to 13hrs@35%

Yeah. I'm working on some tasker profiles to automate forcing things on/off as it seems like i'm having issues with things that should be off... being off.

I find I have to reboot my device me a day to keep the tweaks effective,, which is odd... I'm starting to think there's a lag with apps due to dalvik/ram use.

One of the options in the V6 script is basically a cron job to wipe your ram. Might be worth setting that to like 6-12 hours.
