Root ROM poll

I just want to get a little feedback. I can't make a proper poll on tapatalk to just respond with your choice.

What should I work on next?

A. Update EcksperiaZ

B. Release the ics version of GSnap

C. SOMEHOW get a laptop and work on miui

D. SOMEHOW get a laptop and work on other projects

E. Other (give suggestion)

Leave comment with your answer and if possible give a reason why. Thanks y'all.
 
I'd like to see MIUI done. Personally I'm not a fan of the eyephonish type UI but its another AOSP/CM based rom with a ton of features and customization options which is always cool and I like playing with the mtz themes lol. So for purely selfish reasons to have more projects for myself that's my vote :D.
 
Honestly, I'd love to see you guys work your magic on MIUI, but if you already have the ICS version of Gsnap out, then by all means release it.

Oh, and if you could, it'd be awesome if you could upload it to any other site BUT sendspace. Dropbox is always reliable (:

There is no we about it. Right now miui is a one man project and I always use a combo of Google drive and devspace


Also getting a laptop is going to be Damn near impossible but I'll try cause I really want miui myself
 
None. To be honest it sounds like you need to find work first. :P Idk if you already did or not tho. But I don't think any of us are selfish enough to have you rather release ROMs and be homeless or whatever then be happy and then ease back into it. This phones definitely got potential so anything that can be done doesn't have to be done immediately it isn't a necessity. You've been working really hard and that's awesome. :] I just don't want to see a great developer go bye bye because life isn't being so nice. D:

I appreciate the concern but here is where I'm at.

Doing things like this actually help me, it helps me but only build new skills that I may at some point in the future turn into marketable job skills, it helps me take my mind off other things and actually relax for once, getting the laptop will also be a huge help since most everywhere does online apps now a days ago I can kill multiple birds with that stone.

Roms, music, Linux these are things that help me to be able to enjoy my life when there isn't really anything about it to enjoy.

Last but not least I've been contacted by a couple schools to get into their software courses and having the laptop, brushing up on my Linux skills and doing things like this will eventually help with that too.

In short if it wasn't for forums like this and me doing the things I enjoy doing I would have gone insane years ago lol
 
Ohh I see. :] Just trying to make sure you're not slaving for us and forgetting about your own life. :P But I'm glad to hear how things are going with you.

Sometimes I care too much about everybody haha. xD

But okay. If I had to choose for the Poll it would be number 3. Because a computer would not only help your ROMs become complete but help your life skills and everything else. Get it equipped with Lowjack tho if it gets stolen :D I always have ways to recover stolen shit of mine so I never have to worry about never recovering things. Lol.

Anyways, good luck on your ROM updates and getting the data fixed on MIUI and for maybe finding work at those schools possibly. I'm stuck being a dishwasher at a popular resort/motel as my first job. xD
 
Someone donate this man a laptop haha. Even something old. I'm headed home from the dorms today, might see if I can get ya a cheap laptop to work on.

Parents been cleaning out the house lately, but I'll do what I can.

Maybe we should setup the get Ken a laptop fund?

E: Get a laptop, which would help with everything in life, then proceed through A, B, C, and D as you see fit. :)

I actually have paranoid android booting......shhhhh it's a secret

I've seen some laptops on eBay for between 65 to 75. Not the greatest by any means but will do what I would need them to do for now

Yeah, I was using it on the htc one v before it was stolen. It's booting but....That's IT lol that one would take time and is better off compiled from source anyway

And now it looks like I'm inheriting my friends old droid x to play with lol

Just want to add also if it wasn't for awesome people like y'all in forums like this I would have gone crazy lol

It is, but I find it redundant having all the options for aokp pa and cm9 but from why I hear they may be consolidating them
