Just installed, and I keep getting this in the notifications bar: "Authentication was unsuccessful."

Any idea why?

now when the new update comes is there an easier way to flash this with out always doing factory data wipe what is the proper way to flash the update if already running a older verison of MIUI 4.0 sorry for being a NOOB

Well the ROM wipes dalvik cache for you, but there's still normal cache and user data left; so the only time you don't need a wipe data/factory reset is when it is a small update. But MIUIv4 is a alpha ROM so every update is normally a big update that requires data wipe, but you can restore your downloaded apps with titanium backup; just don't restore data, only app. The next update is also a big update, so you'll have to do a data wipe. Just use titanium backup, set a time in Titanium Backup to backup all your downloaded apps(just apps, not data); and then restore them on next updae.

Well you can, but sometimes/most of the time, you get FCs especially if you restore system data. To cut back on explained bugs, it's advised to factory reset, and if you use TB don't restore data, only downloaded apps.

I would need a screenshot of the notification to better understand. "Authentication was unsuccessful." is failure to login, probably a google apps like ,gmail. Try reflash the ROM with a factory reset and see if it is still there.

i have that same issue sometimes when i drop 3G coverage or when i have no coverage what so ever i believe it has something to do with the RIL/Data ive notice ive been having spotty coverage

I've been getting spotty coverage for a month now, probably because of the throttling system & sprint with the WiMax to prepaid thing. But I doubt it is the ROM; it's probably a app trying to login but can't since their's(you) no data.

I've been running into problems with the new rom. Loosing wifi and not being able to reconnect without reflashing.. is it just me? I'm not new at flashing roms. But I never ran into this before.

Happened to me as well, just do a clean install, and don't restore any system apps.

On cm9 it happened when I put a script in to run at boot to increase data speeds your not doing that are you?

Hey just wondering if there is any overclock kernel for the 4.0 rom. Thanks SO much for everyone's hard work on the rom it is AMAZING!!

Austrie.. could you release a B build with BTWLANCOEX enabled so i can use my onlive controller properly with this rom? Thanks man :D

also whats up with the 3g and 1x signal bars?

Any chance we can add the crt-tv shutdown animation? I've always hated the flicker on the factory rom which seems to be present on this one too..
