Root [ROM][Preview][Deck 1.3d RELOADED]

Let me first say that this is obviously NOT my work but wanted to make you guys aware of the goodness being cooked up by JamieG, mazdarider, ropodope, smelkus and others. Basically it's Deck 1.3d, the gold standard of Gingerbread roms, tweaked, modded and enhanced to make it EVEN BETTER. Preview is being hosted on Tincandroid.com with the full version coming at a later date with even more goodness.

NOTE: In order to view the development forum at tincandroid you MUST have registered 10 posts in the general/q&a forums, similar to XDA. If any of you guys are registered over there, here is the link to the preview thread:

Im a recent AOSP convert (was hooked on sense for a while)..running this preview build ATM...its pretty nice, working great so far

The "stock" kernel is mason .15 rc3 w/ SBC. should be snappy!! if the launcher does not suit your needs, know it is just a stock launcher..I think i have seen hints about the full version coming w/ go launcher?! I use ADW w/ it currently

The stock kernel for Deck 1.3? Or the preview of the new Deck? O_O The old Deck has a Cyanogenmod kernel

there are no "bells and whistles or eye candy" here...just the skeleton of what is to come.
 
For MizzouBrent since you recommend Deck's 1.3. I have the most stable version.

How do you overcome the screen not lighting up whenever you press the power button to turn on the screen? I'll have to press the screen after pressing the power button to display anything. I remember seeing this happening a while back but I couldn't get past the problem.
 
Turning off auto brightness works for me.

And I don't recommend 1.3 stable. I recommend 1.3d. Yes technically it is listed as a beta but many, myself included, agree that it's a better build than 1.3 stable.

Ooh. Auto brightness is one of the first things I turned off on any ROM I flash. Hm. I would have to set up Deck all over again if I go backwards. -_-
 
sorry for being stupid, my eyes hurt. where exactly is the 1.3d link with the mason kernel link too?
 
The final version is imminent....and when it's done, it will be posted on XDA and tincandroid. Jamie hasn't (and won't) post an ETA but he says it's nearly complete.
