Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

Yeah I've been trying to find it on Google for the past couple hrs.. anywhere loll.. to no avail. If u could that would be awesome! I'm running icy Fusion 5.0 (the newest one) I'm not site if i have CWM/CM...but will this rom let my Bluetooth work if i flash it? And does it reboot if i push the power button and what not? Either way I'd love to have the files typo giver it a shot, my Wi-Fi tether apps won't work (failure to set up ad hoc... :confused:whatever that means but i cant fix it) and i desperately need it back asap:eek:! Thanks

I'll try to upload the files tonight or tomorrow. Yes BT will work. Yes the power button will reboot the phone in the camera app.

Awesome thanks so much... is there a camera app that i can download to avoid that issue? Sorry to ask again I'm sure its all in here but i can't read all of it..but are there any other "major" glitches and/or freeze/reboot issues? Regardless I'd love to try it out, I've read good stuff about it..thanks again!

MY big thing is id like to get the WiFi tether up and running again!!

Cam app issue seems to follow all the apps

Is there a way on my phone , without putting in recovery mode, that I can find out if I have CM or CWM and if so do I need to install a certain type of recovery in order to successfully install this ROM and have the Bluetooth work?

CM is a ROM. It stands for CyanogenMod. CWM is ClockWorkMod recovery and is not a rom but a custom recovery program. You flash ROMs and kernels with CWM. If you have IcyFusion installed, then you have CWM as your recovery. To flash a different ROM, you put the zip on your SD card, reboot into recovery, and then use CWM to flash it.

Ok no doubt... the only thing I'm knowledgeable in is the d/l and flashing process and cab file flashes somewhat (bc i security mt phone at first.. Thanks to Neph for the help) ...where i really am clueless is the programming lingo and understanding all the differences and uses for this CM and AOKP stuff and "nightly releases" ..ha, probably bc i didn't know what the heck CM was in the first place ..I would probably have to try it all out and play around first... i love this icyfusion, never had such a reliable system on here.. but the Wi-Fi not working is killing me but other than that and BT i love it and excited to not have to worry about things FC and freezing/rebooting...any opinions on a comparable ROM as far as stability and of course glitches and lag too? thanks again

Official Cyanogenmod 10.1 has been rock solid for me. Every Spectrum seems to be different though so try a few of them and see which one is best for you.

This room still running well for everybody? I need reliability! And will my Bluetooth work again after I've already flashed a few ROMs? Does it come with google play installed I'm a little confused with the while aokp vs ROM..i have CM on it..Can i also get the DL link? Thanks in advance i hope i still get a reply looks like its been a little bit!

The CM10.1.2 stable has been running great for me, http://get.cm/?device=vs920. Don't know if anyone is still using this one. You have to flash gapps after flashing the ROM for Google apps and services.

For anyone wanting to try this, I have to say its way smoother than any 4.2.2 jb ROM I have tried, I love it so much will probably stay on it for awhile, because gaming is great and battery, WiFi is awesome, data works great, haven't tried GPS yet, but I highly recommend coming back to CM10

I love it too..so far at least, i just flashed it..only one issue I don't have the options to back up my contacts or restore then via Google, on any accounts..I did a dirty flash after wiping cache partition & dalvik bc I'm sick of setting up every customization on my end after all these trial and errors..Any solutions to get my contacts back?? I was thinking maybe flashing the gapps again but I don't want to screw everything up if there's an easier solution....

Shouldn't need to wipe data if the firmware and ROM version are the same. For example, I'm on the official CM (which followed this ROM) and the built in CM Updater doesn't clear data, so I'm never left running around trying to restore anything.

If that doesn't help, perhaps you could try Titanium Backup. Back around CM 7 I used TiBu religiously, always wiped all three every time there was a new nightly, and then restored everything with TiBu after the flash.

What ROM were you on before?
Did you flash gapps after dirty flashing?
Does the Play store work?

Well after hours and hours of messing around I finally found one that works pretty well..better than all the other aokp and cm ROMs I've flashed..it's the latest nightly aokp..as of last night. Tethering works, Bluetooth I'm not sure yet haven't gotten to test it out but I'm sure it works...it's not as snappy as I'd like it but the battery life is INCREDIBLE..so I can't complain. I'll take the couple seconds sometimes in place for great battery..I flashed the gapps got the appropriate build but I was doing that wrong at first took me a while to catch onto that lol.. they all seem to be working now..i wish I had that visual voicemail apk that the CM nightly I was running had...it was a yellow icon..for a while there the aosp kept crashing so I wiped and flashed a Cm ROM that worked, installed Swype beta and made it the default and then installed the one I wanted that kept crashing. It was crashing on the quatt aokp ROM..previously I was running one of the cm 10.1 nightlies..I dunno lol it's all working now. Just wish I could keep this batt life and overclock a little..the governers are pretty basic too..what's the best for batt, speed, and stability as far as deadline, noop, cfq, sio..? Any others that allow overclock with smartassv2? and bfq? I use on demand pretty much all the time...TiBu isn't so user friendly for somebody like me I get all confused ha, i kinda gave up on that..

Here's a trick for the devs...

I've found that oncrpc apps don't like running from the commandline, nor do they like being launched from a shell script wrapper. Don't know why, maybe it's permissions. So I modify their service entry in init.rc to strace them, eg:

service foo /system/xbin/strace -f -o /data/local/tmp/foo.strace /system/bin/foo

This is how I got the gpsone_daemon strace output to find the socket issue.

hello, sorry to revive a such old thread. i'm running problems with a service on init, building a cm11 for my phone, and used this suggestion.
After the boot the data/local/tmp folder is empty,so cannot see what is failing. there is something more needed to be added to make the strace work?

Hold on for a couple days. I switched jobs and I start working at CM on Monday. My job will be device bringup and support, so fixing this will actually be my job. :D
