Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

tdm, I'm trying to build cm10.1 and wanted to clarify something before I started the actual build. Is it supposed to say "Trying dependencies-only mode on a non-existing device tree?" when I issue the breakfast command? Or am I missing something still? I cloned the iproj and i_vzw device and vendor repos from thebigq and got them set up. I would just like to know if I need anything else before tying my computer up for the next few hours.

Yeah that is normal. That's all you should need for a build.

You'll probably want to build the kernel from source too, I haven't pushed the kernel binary and modules in a while, sorry.

Someone please direct me to where I can find out or please explain to me what CM10 exactly is. I know it is a rom but what will it change/add? I am already rooted. I have never loaded a custom rom to my phone before.

As you posted in another thread that you have the spectrum 2. I would strongly recommend not trying this rom as is not built for your hardware. You may want to see what ROMs are available for the spec 2 in it's forum. I'm not entirely sure there are any yet though.

Not trying to be rude or anything. Just don't want you to brick your phone.

not being rude but you are in the wrong forum. If you can't find any in your phones forum section then you are out of luck. you're Just going to have to wait and see if any come out for it one day. It's not looking good for the spec2 though.

There was a time when it didn't look very good for the OG spec though, either.

It's it me or is the charging rate on this ROM slower than stock? Also, this ROM is eating up considerably more battery life while sleeping at night off charge. And by that, I mean about 25% more. It's odd as I have less apps installed and none different or changed settings. Running, I'm getting better battery life, yet sleeping is worse. This ROM is very nice though, not thinking of going back.

EDIT: This is suppose to be for the Quattrimus 10.1 thread.

I don't find it charges slower than stock, but it could be your Cable.

As for the night drain, if you don't go into airplane mode, it's not surprising to see a drain the of 25 percent in 6-8 hours. If it drains like that in airplane mode, you have issues.

It could be the cable, as its different than what I was using, just now noticed. It's just odd I never got that night drain on stock, mainly around 10%.

I definitely noticed that difference after coming to this ROM from rooted ICS. I installed DS Battery Saver, definitely helps. Now I lose usually about 3 or 4% a night.

I've had JB on my rooted Nook for a while now....so glad to get it on my phone! AOKP41 is smooth...liking it a lot! Thanks for all the hard work in this thread!

Hi all! ive been following since i ditched my bb (dont laugh...) for my old company droid 2 (kept it wen i left vzw). that was my practice phone and then i got my hands on a spectrum. got cm9 then i started t rolling and saw cm10 and now cm10.1 available. i was having issues with the gps and thats what prompted the search. i was gonna go to [ROM] Stock, Rooted, & Deodexed ZV7 and then go to 10. is the link in the beginning updated to reflect the changes and progress thats been made thus far or is there another link to 10.1? also is it a one clicker or am i gonna have to push it thru manually via my pc?

thanks in advance guys.

If you are having issues with gps it might be best to return to stock ICS enable gps and get a lock and then download either CM10.1 or AOKP42

You can get the latest CM10.1 here CyanogenMod Downloads

And soo nthe latest AOKP42 will be here Releases | AOKP

beta 4 is the latest quattrimus version of CM10.1 but the one I posted to you is the officially supported version of CM10.1 and you will actually be able to get update directly from inside the rom without going here or even CM's website.

Beta 4 runs great But I think it's no longer being supported and everything has been switched over to the official one. But what you said you plan to do is fine.

searching for gps... no success...should i flash to a diff stock? if so can u post a link of one u think will work?

rebooted a couple of times. gonna try to reflash again.

The sotard should work. Maybe something is wrong with your hardware. If you can't get it to work then try a different Rom. Perhaps even flash cm10.1 and see if it will work there.

My GPS navigation has worked on every build since cm10 in December.

went back to 9 then to sotard and all went well... gps locked and currently on 10.1! thanks for dealing with my questions.

I noticed that when using voice or video calling through gchat, the mic doesn't seem to work (so I can hear them, they can't hear me).

This still happens on the 10.1 beta4; I haven't tried the M2 release yet.

Any one else have this problem?
