Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

Any other Rom Toolbox users here? I have a weird, spectrum glitch that I want to see if anyone else has it.

Yup, I have lots of RTB weird events, frequent wait/fc prompts, especially while using the app, occasionally when not actively using it, sometimes it wool t.v. on opening, try again and I can select app manager, then fc, try again and app manager will load, then fc, try again and then I can use the app manager... Hans almost every time I go into the CPU section also. First tube was fine, changed the current settings and checked set on boot, then restored my profiles and have not been able to get back in again.

...

Sometimes when I boot the phone up, the cyanogenmod boot animation won't go away. The phone will go to sleep, and when I wake it up the animation is still playing. I can tell the phone is working underneath because when I press power + vol. down it makes the screenshot noise. Reboots don't seem to help, but if I flash the dalvik cache it forces the app update process and then it works fine. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Out of 8 boots, this has happened 6 times, I can adb and kill the boot animation, but then I have no data unless on Wi-Fi. Reboot puts me back into the boot animation loop... or it locks up and I have to battery pull to power off, same result if I adb reboot.

Another annoyance I've had with v1, my email notifications never stop playing until I pull down the notification bar. Not an issue on previous builds.

Not sure what it is, but I like v1 better than the previous builds. Thank you tdm

K, all my rtb people.... Do you find that your app manager will work, but if you restore an app, it will then show hazard signs by installed apps and then blank out the listing of backups? I emailed rummy, but he said he wasn't able to duplicate it and it doesn't do this with cm10 on my tablet. There's something with this app and the partitions... See below for what I was talking about with the hazard signs. Keep in mind, these apps are all backed up and shouldn't show hazard signs:

First of all, this rom is so good! Thanks for making such a fast and stable rom. I am experiencing a weird issue, and I've looked through this thread and didn't see anyone else with this issue.

I find that when it gets stuck just keep holding the power button until screen shuts off. Takes a little while. Then power back on. Easier than pulling battery for me because of my case

Oh, sorry, I have no idea. I use TiBu for backups.

I've had the blanking issue with the installed apps list since the ICS leak. The backups list is almost always blank, but I have not seen the warning sign.

I flashed up to the current release of CM10 and was showing my daughter some videos last night using mxplayer and had to install it (full clean wipe before upgrade), when I played the video with the hardware decoder enabled, it never prompted me to install the codec.

Previous installs, I think b5 (and all stock based Roms) prompted that I needed to install the codec, all the RC versions I installed it without thinking about it, before trying to play anything, so I don't know if it would have prompted me or not. (Mx player ARM v7 codec)

Please look the above link for the DTS.

I am able to play 1080P with DTS Sound MKV files using MX Player on the Icy Fusion rom.

But it does not work on AOKP 41 or 42 which are based on CM.

So, I believe that it is an issue on the CM rather than on your side.

*edit*
I removed my previous post as it was worthless.

I used the v6 codec from this thread. It enabled me to software decode the DTS audio in one of my video files. Looking at or phone specs it doesn't appear that DTS is supported for hardware decoding on our hardware.

Good luck.

Icy Fusion is based off of stock ICS and has different decoder files.. This is the same bug that happens when we run OOM on certain .mkv files and 24/32 bit wave files and is currently on the bug tracker.

Is CM10 still the smoother of the two or has the unusual lag of AOKP been resolved?

EDIT: Also, is it still necessary to revert back to stock and take all of the updates before flashing either ROM? I'm still on Broken Out 3.0 which is based on gingerbread ZV4.

AOKP is still not as smooth as CM

but really you should get CM10.1 because it's based off the latest android 4.2.2 update and runs super smooth. This version is pretty much run it's course. We are all on CM10.1 now

As far as flashing it, you can just flash it in recovery; just before you do, get the V7 baseband zip and flash that as well and you'll have the updated radios.

Ah! I didn't realize that a separate thread was created for 10.1, thanks. Being that CM10.1 is still in beta and CM10 is "stable" is CM10 running with fewer issues?

By not taking the OTA's from ZV4 do I miss out on anything aside from radios? Updated bootloader, or anything else?

Actually cm10.1 is more stable. Cm10 is plagued with reboot issues whereas cm10.1 is not.

As far as I know the only thing that you need from the update is the new radios. I have personally used recovery to flash back to gingerbread and then back ics and it worked fine.

Have you flashed from as far back as ZV4?

I just ran a search and don't see where to get the radios? Do you happen to have a link handy? I'd even accept a sarcastic LMGTFY link :-)

Yeah cm10.1 is reported to be more stable.

The only reason cm10.1 is still beta is that I haven't gotten the screen blanking issue on aokp42 resolved, and I don't want to do an RC release without aokp42.

Also note CM10.1 should be getting official support from CM in the coming few days, so I doubt I'll be doing any more builds. I don't really have any changes to the source tree except for an oveclocked kernel. It's hardly worth pushing a full ROM for that.

I'll continue to work on AOKP support until I can convince the AOKP team to support the VS920/P930.

I've actually switched back to cm10 because 10.1rc4 seemed alot less responsive for me when typing. I will be trying it again this weekend tho...

Well I switched back to cm10.1 rc4 this morning and it is working WAY better than it did yesterday... not sure what happened yesterday but but a clean retry fixed it. Thought I would post this here to follow up on my previous post.
