Root [ROM] Sense-able 2.0 UPDATED [4/3/10]

Has anyone been able to download a complete copy of this from GrdLocks site yet? I've tried 5 times and none will pass md5. Is it a hosting issue or is it me?

Looks like you're having the same problem I'm having. Check your md5. You'll probably find the file is incomplete.
 
I love the look of the dialer now...i did notice that some of my icons changed back to the original 2.1 icons such as the camera and settings...was that supposed to happen?

no that was my error, while changing stuff around. I didnt notice till after i already uploaded. they will be fixed in the next release
 
Dont know if its the ROM or the dialerone that I added but I no longer get different rings tones for certain users. Like I have diff ones for certain users. I have it set, but it always goes to the default ringer. Anyone else have this issue or is it something else? I posted in the dialer thread as well just to see where the problem might lay. I have no problem reflashing and adding app by app but just wanted to see first if anyone else having this. Thanks in advance guys and still love love this ROM

Now that you mention it and I checked mine is also not recognizing individual ring tones. I would guess this would be an issue with the dialer one so I am gonna take it out and will let you know if that fixes it...

Edit: It is the dialer one app and not the rom. When i took dialer one off my individual ringtones work.
 
Hey guys, I'm new to this, but I really like the look of this ROM over the stock Sense. My question is... Is this built on top of Sense, or is this an Android ROM that is made to function similarly to Sense? I'm just wondering if it will have 7 or 3 screens, and if the HTC Widgets will still work.

Haha awesome, I was actually just gonna come back into this thread and re-ask the question that way... I thought it might just be Sense but with different graphics. Sounds like that's exactly what it is, and that's exactly what I wanted :D

And if I read the OP correctly, this is also running Android 2.1? If so, I just might be a little too excited for words, lol...

Yes this is 2.1...But just to make sure..You are rooted right? Otherwise this won't for ya.

I am still on 1.5 stock, haven't done anything yet. I was just going to wait for the OTA, but after seeing your screenshots, I'm quite interested ;)

So I am guessing I would have to install the 2.1 rooted ROM (http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-eris/53963-guide-stock-1-5-latest-root-2-1-a.html) first, and then this one?

I found the instructions for rooting, but I can't seem to figure out Step 3 here (install zip). Would I just install it the same way? And would it need to be renamed first?

Sorry, I hate being such a noob :confused: haha... But I know once I learn how to do this, it will become as addicting as crack... Happens every time I learn how to customize something :D

These directions are a bit clearer How To Root Your HTC Eris and go step by step. If you have any problems or questions go to the IRC

A lot of people including myself sometimes just hang out answering questions, because we have nothing better to do.
And no worries most of use are addicted to the ERIS...there is quite a bit you can do and customize when you root.
 
On the first version when I was clicking sync I would get an com.htc.bg force close message. I'm assuming its face book but nothing is coming up in my searches on the boards here for com.htc.bg.

I'm going to install this update and see if that fixes it. Other than that it's been a great rom so far.
 
Been running this rom since release and it brought the joy back to having sense. Don't know why people on XDA are having problems with no music controls on the lockscreen. I have them :shrug:

was gonna post that on XDA but i can't login all of a sudden lol

I took the icons for settings and camera from your 0.7 rom and put them in the 2.0 rom. Now I have the icons I loved and the new dialer...thanks so much for all your work on this Jamezelle and to all the others who have helped with this rom... definitely my favorite.....really loving my first rooted phone.....

Awesome, thanks for that... looks pretty straightforward except for one part:



IV: Flashing a custom ROM

1. Download the custom rom of your choice from here.

2. Copy the WHOLE zip file to the root directory of your SD card. (You can enable USB-MS enable from your shiny new recovery to mount your phone as a USB Mass Storage device.)

3. Choose Wipe. Choose data/factory Reset (In the stock ROM, the dalvik is stored in the data and you don't have an EXT partition... yet.)​



What do I do between steps 2 and 3?? After copying the new zip into the card, what do I do to get to Step 3?

Shut down phone. Hold vol up and end to restart and go into recovery mode, then continue instructions.

You have to reboot into the recovery console. So turn off your phone and turn it back on by pressing VOL UP and END. It should boot up with a black screen with green text upon it. There should be several options to choose from. You should find what you're looking for from there
 
Thanks to everyone for all of your help. I think I'll install this sometime this week hopefully... gotta wait until I after I finish some assignments, otherwise they will never get done, lol ;)

I deleted mine since I needed space and didnt see these issues until after deleting it. For me, its no bother as I have Titanium donate version, so it takes me 15mins total to get back up and running from flash to everything. But I did try just removing the apk and when I hit phone, it just said phone and did nothing. that is when I said, flash time, lol

Kids, remember, always do a NAND and at least keep it for a few days before deleting it. :)
