Root [ROM] Stock B07 JB 4.1.2 Unmodified and Deodexed

I too started having the same issue. I was fine this morning because I was transferring files from my phone to pc before class. I plugged my phone up to my computer to transfer some more files over and wham! duplicate files. I have no idea but I am looking for a solution. Will give a heads up if I discover anything.:smokingsomb:
 
Ok I got my phone to stop showing double files. Heres what I did.
I was viewing my sd card from my computer and noticed a hidden folder at the top that had a single file in it named "img_2014blah_blah" not sure what it was, there was no file extension. I deleted it out of a hunch and viola! No more duplicate files. I think it has something to do with communication between the sd card and computer.

EDIT. Nope nevermind. I was not showing duplicate files and unplugged my phone and back up again to make sure but suddenly showing them again. Weird thought I had it. virus, bug, glitch? I dunno still looking into it. Does anyone know what that file could have been? it didn't do anything and there was no extension and no way to open it that I tried at the time.
 
Now I'm getting the garbled music! When I tested awhile back, it was fine... But for the first time in forever, I decided to listen to music on my phone. Sure enough, there are at least 2-3 skips and garbles per song.

I have given up on the audio garbles. Sorry guys.

edit: you can try turning SRS off, might help.
 
I'm not having that problem at all. IDK? And believe me, my phone is my main music source.
 
Is it possible that we've been dealing with a somehow corrupted rom file from the get-go? I know with the completely stock rom with recovery that none of the md5 sums match with official if you check it through stock recovery. Not exactly sure how that works. I know it has something to do with the integrity of the file or weather they've been modified or not.

Another question. Could I flash someone else's cwm backup of there stock rom? Would it be the same as the backup I would make? (lost my backup some effing how) If so I would like to see if someone could give me there completely stock image and see if I still have problems with my video recorder.

Oh and I had a theory. I know I'm far from knowing what you guys are capable of but what if I said I thought that the codecs were corrupted that encodes video or decodes music?? possibility high?
 
It isn't bad enough to make me want to switch roms. It isn't even bad enough to stop listening to music. So I'm all for pretending the problem doesn't exist!
 
Yes it is possible we have bad files. If someone wants to grab me a new system.img from a fully functional non-warbly non-video mangling system I will try again.

I'm looking for a "out the box" stock cwm backup of this rom as I type. If someone is willing I can flash their backup and determine a lot of things depending on how my phone acts afterwards. I just hope it isn't my phone. I don't see how it could be hardware. I know software will damage hardware. I'm going to try and stay optimistic. I just need a "virgin" cwm backup.

I have had no problems with my phone what so ever. Audio good, recorder good, everything. I don't understand. The last flash that me an "B" did was weeks ago. IDK???:confused::confused:
She purrs like a kitten. I just "B" would clue me in on some of his tricks!;););)
 
I'll try it, but I hate this phone. Nothing new for it, it's finicky as hell, and not too much better than my old Warp. (Other than it has JB built into it). I hate Boost, coverage and reception sucks ass. I'm at the point of switching phones and carriers unless something good falls out here shortly.

And I'm not bitching to the Dev's, I think ZTE just made this phone "hard to work with", and upgraded the O.G. Warp, just to keep the customers. Hell, the even changed the layout of the phone so you'd have to buy different cases for it! WTF!!!
I went as far as to see if I could get this phone "Unlocked" to switch to Straight talk as my carrier. My BIL has a cheap as Straight talk phone, and I swear, he can get reception in a friggin cave, and I'm standing next to him and have no bars. (MY SHOP especially).

Edit: Flashing thru Philz did not work. It just hung on Green Andy (for 10 minutes). I did a battery pull and I'm restoring now.

Edit: And please, don't anyone get offended. I know the dev's do all of their wizardry in their spare time and for free. I know it's ZTE that has given us a "Treat", but has made it harder for any exploration of improvements without them making a buck from it. So they're REALLY making us work for it.

yeah the reception used to be alot better back in the day. I'm sure something awesome will come out for these phones. And the developers do kick but. I know you guys probably get aggravated as crap sometimes. I think its the source code we need right? :D

Haven't heard anything about being able to do it yet. that doesn't mean anything though.

I'm definitely going to be trying out this yetanothertest.zip but i'm also going to be keeping a lookout for another stock rom also. I'v been busy at home. Hopefully I will have time to test the next one.
