Root [ROM][Supreme] Mobster Rom S - 03/30/14

Gonna flash this when I figure out which Kernel is the most stable. V4 by rbheromax seems pretty good but still want to try V5. V6 would not run for more than a few minutes. Be sure to thank rbheromax for his work on the Kernals and mobstergunz for the ROM.
 
how would you flash this rom without loosing any data such like apps and other things also if i flash this to my phone ( zte supreme ) will data and wifi work?
 
Backup all your data and apps with titanium backup or something similar. I have always used Titanium Backup(TB) and have never had any problems. It will backup all the apps, the apps data, system settings and system data.
After you backup everything with TB boot into recovery make a backup with CWM. After you backup with CWM install the ROM per the instructions in the first post.
When you boot into the new ROM install TB from Play Store and restore what you want from TB. Do not restore system setting 's, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth settings with TB or you could mess something up.
If, after all this you decide that you don't like the ROM or it doesn't work like you want. Boot back into recovery and restore the backup you made with CWM and your phone will be back to exactly the way it was before.
 
Nice also what if data don't work on the new rom and I go back to my original would it work or will the company deny my service
 
If data doesn't work just restore your backup from CWM and it will work again. Just be sure you ALWAYS make backup with CWM before you flash anything! There are also a couple different versions of the stock ROM posted in the forums so will always be able to return the phone back to stock. I would download the stock rooted ROM and just keep it on your external SD card so you will already have it, if needed.

If your data doesn't work after flashing flash back to the Stock Rom, connect to the internet, then flash Mobster Rom and it should work

If you really want that Kitkat look i recommend Holo Launcher HD it can be found in the play store and is highly customizable and Holo Locker helps too ;)

Edit: Confirmed Auto Brightness Bug is from Xposed / Gravitybox

Edit2: scratch that it maybe random or it might happen after a reboot still its something I'll have to look into

Edit3: it seems turning off the screen for a second may allow you to check/unchecked the auto brightness box. This is a temp fix in my opinion..... But it does work
 
I haven't had a chance to play with it that much, but Yo so far this rom is way better than the stock actually I tested it a little everything worked fine. i think I'm going to use this as my daily driver its pretty cool . Thanks

Oh and data works just fine.

Oh and it's bloatwear free which is always a plus, however I would have like if I could customize it a little more
 
Amazing update! Everything looks good. I'm still having WiFi/display issues though.

My phone had the exact same problem on stock android. That's why I sent in my old phone. I think it was something I installed in system that started causing the issues.

So I bet its the bravia engine or audio tweak or something that's causing the issue. Some system tweak.

Also I just realized I gave you the downloadmanager.apk instead of the downloadmanagerui.apk.

Derp. That's why the icon didn't change. I'll upload the apk once I get home.
 
Flashed and everything was great until my first reboot. After reboot I lost data connection. Tried turning data off and back on, toggled airplane mode but could not get it back.
 
Too bad I can't get it to work cause I liked the way it looked. Maybe I'll try again later, I didn't think to boot into recovery and clean caches to see if that helped. Hopefully we can figure out something cause it looked cool!!! :cool:
 
I rebooted dozens of times and still have data. You could try flashing the stock ROM, connect to the internet, the flash back to Mobster Rom. It should work
 
The 3g icon is still pixelated FYI.

Also, I flashed the stock ROM with the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk from this ROM. Everything works normal. The new ui by itself isn't causing any problems (it shouldn't be anyway).
 
Tried flashing this after flashing stock ROM and still lose data connection after I flash this. I tried at least 6 different times and always have data on stock ROM but would lose it after flashing Mobster Rom :confused:
 
Finally got data to connect. Took the battery out. Rebooted and data worked but Wi-Fi would not. Rebooted to recovery cleared cache and dalvik cache. Wi-Fi came on with icon flickering saying it was connected but really wasn't. After turning Wi-Fi off, 4g or 3g data would not reconnect until I removed battery again. I have no idea what the problem is.
 
This is one of the most beautiful roms I have used.... it the connectivity issue were fixed it would be the top ROM. My favorite part is the swapped sd cards, couldn't get it to work properly in the stock ROM, anyways if there is anything I can do to help address the connectivity trouble let me know, I'm not a total noob to development but I'm not great either.... let me know what i can do, thanks for your efforts

edit: I was running the 02/09/14 version of the ROM on Tardis Kernel v4, there was some sort of battery level issue, it thought the battery was nearly dead, showed 2%, flashed recovery of stock ROM and stock showed battery level of 82%
 
I love the animations on this rom, can't use it however. My data and wifi are still unoperational no matter how many times i clear cache. Anyone get it working? I'd love to know.

If you need a tester before releases I volunteer. *unless you want the crowd to test which I recommend to find more bugs and all)

IMo here is the priority I recommend you take.
This rom > Sense (5?) > Xperia
