Root ROM Switching help?

But Titanium says it dont have root privagles?

Right, but you still have a custom recovery, so you are still rooted. It's just that the stock Android that you restored is missing root privileges. But, as I suggested before, do not use Titanium to back up your SMS messages. Go into the market and search for SMS Backup & Restore, install it, and use that to backup your SMS messages. Now you can go back to your other ROM (did you Nandroid backup before you restored? If not, you'll have to reinstall it again), go back to the market to install SMS Backup & Restore, and restore your SMS messages.

I didn't do a nand backup but that's okay because i'm going to put v16.1 on it. I did do what you said and did the sms backup. I have all my old sms's backed up now. Thanks

Update: I understand what you said about still being rooted. I did a nand backup, wiped, flashed nonsensikal v16.1. All's well and now it's time to play with a new rom. Thanks for everybody's help and patience with a noob.
