Adrynalyne- Thanks for the help restoring. I bought battery saver, any other setting recommendations? BTW didn't see perflock. My battery use has been heavier since the upgrade. Just trying to keep it managed.
 
In setcpu, hit menu, and it should be an option:

Get setcpu, and disable perflock. Then, enable profiles, and make one for when the screen is off. Set min cpu at 245mhz, max at 384.

i can confirm that this works... i use the same settings :D makes a difference when the phone is sleep

Which have the least bugs?

Hey thx for all your hard work and dedication but I just want to see if Im missing something.

Im currently using CM6 test 8 and I dont have any real issues with it. I don't see any real reason to switch and thats whats bothering me.

The only personal benefit over CM6 that I see is the ability to watch hulu. I dont really mind about all the crapware that you removed as I never really noticed it.

Is there anything else I may be missing?

Finally decided to upgrade the 7/27 leak I was using and went with this ROM. I was reluctant, because I spent so much time tweaking that one to get it where I like it, but I wanted a deodexed ROM. It went a lot quicker than I was expecting. I added the http streaming audio fix to your build.prop before I flashed the ROM just to get that out of the way and it seems to have worked.

I can't believe how much faster it boots up! Compared to the old leak, it's nearly instant.

I really liked the HTC messenger interface, but the stock android one is a lot better for MMS. Thanks for including it. And for getting rid of all the useless HTC and Verizon apps.

Got the new gmail and wireless tether installed. You have to remove the old wireless tether apk file from system, or it'll revert to that version after a reboot for whatever reason. AP mode works great!

Just in case anyone else runs into this problem, I tried to flash the smooth sense icons from the round battery bar thread immediately after flashing the ROM without a reboot, and it through me into a boot loop. I reflashed the ROM, booted, ran the setup, and tried the icon pack again, and it's been perfect since then. Got rid of that annoying location reticule, the new icons are nice, and the transparent notification bar is pretty cool looking.

I haven't had any issues with it, my 3G seems to always start, I would only have that problem once in a great while with the old leak, not as often as some people seem to. I'll probably stick with this ROM for a while.

Just wanted to say thanks, and I'll throw a donation your way for all your work. :)

The only thing I notice is that my WiFi and Bluetooth seem to be using much more battery then before . I keep them on all the time and they are reading pretty high in my battery usage areas anyone else notice this?
My battery is only a little worse off then when Iwas on Hydra Undervolt Kernal on 2.1 stock ROM

Not really. Its all personal preference, and I am just offering alternatives. Speaking for myself, I am in love with Sense. Ever since I was porting Manila 2D to the Omnia from HTC devices, I have loved the idea behind HTC UIs.

CM6 is a great rom. Sure there are issues, but from the ground up, it has been built with pure awesomeness.

At the end of the day we all have to use what makes our devices the most enjoyable.

Have fun with whichever you use :)

This could be a side effect of the 2nd leak.

Did you notice it with any other roms based on the 8/1 leak?
 
I can make wifi use less power when not connected to an AP, but not sure if there is much I can do while its connected. I will look into it, but no promises :)
 
Adrynalyne, thanks a ton for the rom, used the vanilla one for a few days and it was solid, but this one is on another level. Like you I like sense, and like the widgets. Thanks again man, pretty new to android....thanks for all the help.
 
With this ROM is it overkill to have Juice Defender, Set CPU AND system panel? I find I'm trying to micro manage my battery.
 
The first day of this rom, I had zero troubles. Today, however, I have lost 3G at least 4 times. 2 times toggline airplane mode worked. 2 times it did not, and the only way back on board was rebooting. That being said, i still am incredibly in love with this rom. I may just for fun, flash another one and give it a shot a couple days. but most likely I'll be back to this one until a real vzw froyo release that's been neutered to not hose up root.

anyone think it may be an app that's causing the 3g drop? Or any other ideas?

another observation, I have been beyond happy with my new found battery life, even though I still need to bump charge to get the fullest extent of juice.
 
I see people here talk about the mew Gmail app or a gmail fix. I also see tons of people in other parts of the forum and on other boards that, like me, are not able to get anything other than their first gmail account to perform properly. Email is not getting to the phone. Sometimes it will say there are new messages but I am unable to get to them. Read flags and archive flags don't get to the server until I perform a manual sync. I've tried every method out there to get it to sync properly but no go.

Do any of the fixes talked about here in the ROM thread address these issues? I've searched and can't find any evidence yet.....
 
Would LOVE to have the ability to wake my phone with the track pad. Is there anyway with ROOT and this ROM to make this happen?
