[ROM] - Themed ICS Venture Update - Jan. 22 2013

status 7 refers to a missing or corrupted component. is this the first time u have tried to flash any rom on the venture? have u just recently installed cwm? if so, did u use the cwm recovery from the recovery thread? u could also just have a bad download of the rom. delete the original download and redownload. have u tried flashing any of the other roms, and if so, were they successful?
also, please list any changes u have made (or unsuccessfully TRIED to make) to ur venture
 
I rooted it then flashed the cwm from the thread how to use adb to do it. i then downloaded the aeneas rom and tried to flash it i got the status 7 then i tried the harmonia got the same thing tried the stock rom on here and got the same thing i've also tried the ICS_Venture_2.zip and got the same thing. i've only been able to flash hades to it
 
since i've customized it yes i like it actually. the green and black isn't bad. i kinda wanna learn how to make my own..is it hard? thanks for hades..its better than the stock vm one lol thats for sure
 
i can help u get started on building ur own roms, but to do it the correct way, ur prob gonna have to change up ur system a bit (i.e. dual boot system). u willing to do that? ya, u can just drag and drop some apps and call it a rom, but to learn the correct way, i would need u in a linux environment. im here to help u thru every step of the way, if its something u r interested in doing tho!
 
Test Results:

Can't get into about phone it force closes with a error message.
Quickpic force closes (I am guessing its not in app/data)
The ICS keyboard XD force closes

other than that it's perfect :P

if your looking for a linux distro.
I suggest these

New to linux and want it easy:
Zorin OS

Want a different look but like windows:
Mint13/14

Want a total different look but easy to use:
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (newest is 12.10) * I recommend this one
 
question im new at this can sombody help have venture rooted .i want to flash room but dont know how or were to find the threads on how please help
 
very easy. install cwm recovery first. look in the recovery thread. after that, download the rom u want to ur sd card, enter recovery, wipe data/cache/dalvik and choose zip from sd card.
 
when i boot to recovery get a triangle and a droid. push home key get some oprions of apply and two options of eased or sometng like that but can't do any thing except scroll ilp and down can u help did I do something wrong?
 
doesnt sould like u have installed cwm recovery first. cwm must b installed first to flash a rom. read the recovery thread.
 
read through the ENTIRE recovery thread and then give it a go. almost every question has been asked and answered in that thread. it will also contain links to everything u will need. it is basically a process of setting up adb/fastboot and using it to flash the cwm image file to the recovery partition of ur venture. once u have cwm, it is very easy to switch between roms. if u run into probs, let me know in PM. id be glad to help! just please read the whole recovery thread (i know it is long... about 3 pages. but it contains almost every possible question/answer u would have), before u ask any questions. it contains a "plethora" (i love that word) of info that should get u up to speed.
after we have cwm flashed, ill help u with backing up flashing ur first new rom, if u didnt already learn the process by reading thru the recovery thread. ;-)

how do you fix this? bc, im trying this out....mainly becuase i had reactivation issues after zip-aligning my entire apk library(root tool box pro).....it would even let me use the hidden menu...garbage...also, if you use link2sd...your back-ups wont load right...just boot loops at hello.
also also, why wont my sd-card mount as mass-storage from CWM....wow, i am fubar right now.
 
soo, the magnifying glass hard button does not work at all, and neither does this obtrusive search bar on every home screen....would like an update asap. but im assuming this will be like v1.0 which jumped to 2.0 without any sort of fixes in the mean time.
ive tried dl'ing google search, did not fix any of the above issues.
sorta dissapointed, but still happy its fast and not nearly as buggy as some of the other rom
