Root Rom Transfer help

Ok so i finally gave in and rooted my droid which is already amazing. but i am having an issue with the roms. I have appbrain rom manager. z4root super user all on my phone.
I downloaded Liberty to my computer. One of my friends said all i had to do was load it to my sd card which i loaded all the files but i can't seem to get it to load through my phone. can anyone help me with what i need to transfer to get liberty to run on my phone. i downloaded it to my computer and then sent all the files i downloaded to my phone but the only file that seems to have anything is the preinstall folder which i ran and nothing happened.

You want the LibertyX-1.5.zip file on your sd card. Do not extract the contents of the file to your sd card.

I have these folders on my sd card:
x_roms
x_themes
x_apps

Then I have everything organized in one place so less files to sift thru.

ok well i have apex on my sd card right now and i try to install it but when i reboot a small box pops up on the screen and then shuts off am i doing something wrong?

Sounds like you don't have bootstrap installed.

Try opening RM, the tap the top option to install bootstrap. If that doesn't work, install droidx bootstrap from market. Open it, tap the top button... it should say success.
