Root [ROM][UNOFFICIAL][4.4.4] DeCAF Cyanogenmod 11, Release 1

Battery life is much better now that I'm using the stock charger, its kinda broken so I stopped using it for a while, but my battery lasted me all day today :D

Not for me. I have school and practice so thats 10 hours. And my phones almost died at end of the school day but on any other day i can last 10 hours and some more

I have left this ROM in favor of the stock ROM for one reason: better audio drivers :P I know it's a stupid reason, but I have amazing headphones (not Beats) and I love having the absolute best sound quality that stock android/cyanogenmod are lacking. This ROM does have my full support however, because it is amazing and works a lot better than CM12 :D

My decision to bail on this ROM was also based mostly on audio issues. I spend a LOT of time with my Bluetooth stereo headphones on. Unfortunately, audio that's streamed via Bluetooth seems to play back at only about 75% it's normal speed, sounding like the musicians are on Quaaludes. It sucks, because I also think this ROM is much better than any of the CM12 options for our Volt.

As soon as I can find a Sprint G2 for $100 or so to activate on Boost, I think I'm going to bail on this phone altogether. This is the longest I've ever had to keep a phone on stock Android, and it's finally getting to me. Definitely won't miss the crummy 8GB of internal storage, either.

I have my eye on the OnePlus One, but limited availability is an issue.

The major problem we have is not enough developer support. Its hard to track down bugs without a team of developers snipping away at the problems, and we have a whopping 3 devs here now. (Who are awesome by the way)

The only way this phone gets better is if we get more devs, which means either we find someone really good and donate a phone to them, or you guys learn to rom chef/Dev and chip in to the project. I know that sounds sort of rude, but unfortunately its the truth.

I have an S2, perfect condition. I've been trying to add it to my boost account but they wouldn't let me. The only way I could activate it is through Sprint, with a contract. Every other provider turned me down. So good luck

I tried out this ROM, and everything works perfectly, except for one thing.

I don't have a mobile network! I cannot make calls or send texts (but apparently I was able to receive a text and a call). I do have LTE however.
I made a backup and I'm trying to go back to stock and see if the issue persists.

Any ideas what could be causing this, or how to fix it? Thank you!

EDIT: mobile network works back on stock. So it's just an issue with this ROM then?

For me the battery life was worse than stock and charging was slow

That's funny, my only problem is the exact opposite. I have no LTE but everything else works

What would it take to compile this kernel with the usb qcom diag driver enabled? I've been able to compile it with the current settings, but once I make menconfig and enable usb qcom diag, copy the .config file over, I get errors.

Question between all the other ROMs this ROM drains the battery sooo fast I last 12hours with cm12,cm11,stock but last 7 hours with this ROM. Has anybody have this problem or know how to solve this

You know, constantly saying this won't fix it. Your cluttering my thread by saying this over and over.

Take a logcat. Do some research. Use logic to figure out the problem and then report your findings back to the community. Anything but post here again about the same issue over and over.

If you're not comfortable taking a logcat as per the above suggestion, what appears in your battery stats graph?

If that doesn't show anything useful, install gsam battery stats and their root extension for a more detailed analysis of what's eating your battery.

More info is needed before anyone can help.

The thing that made my battery life drop was not using the stock charger, that's all the help I can give you without getting dirty in the kernel.

$30.00 Unlock at most generic phone/accessory stores. Most of them hate companies like AT&T, Verizon, etc. and get back at them by unlocking almost every phone they release without, any sort of approval. Android, Apple, Windows, No discrimination I def support what they do in making other people's lives a little easier, big difference.

Anyone using this rom please update to one of the caf rom offerings. This rom is not likely to go any further since there are major issues that the caf roms solve. Sorry for any inconvenience but i guarantee you will like what you see with one of the caf rom offerings.

Note: If you update to one of the other roms, DO NOT DIRTY FLASH THEM OVER THIS! You will definitely have serious problems if you do, and if you dont thats cool but I still dont recommend it.

But why does Camera and Video Camera work so well with this?
