Root [ROM] [Unofficial CM11] (Still in development)

In all reality phenom already made mention of work on TWRP for the device. I'm sure he'll want a reliable method of testing things out on his phone if he's gonna be using it as his daily driver. So I don't think any of us really need to be overly concerned with how anything is going to roll out and in what order. I'm sure assistance can be given when needed or requested by phenom, from those who have some know how.

Yeah I know recovery is on his mind. I was testing some blind builds he was making of TWRP before he got the phone. ;)

So does the CWM, CWM Touch, and PhilZ all have the same format / wipe issues ?

I am actually more interested in seeing what he is able to do with CM11 and which route he takes doing it.

What ever he decides to do or work on is fine with me, I just tend to have more interest in source built roms.

Typically he builds from source as was the case with the work he did/does for the optimus elite.

All recoveries have the format issues, i believe they are all based off the same cwm if im not mistaking

my cwm touch recovery was build with the online Clock Work Mod builder

not sure about the others

the one thing in common that my cwm touch recovery has with the cwm, and philz is that it uses the stock kernel zImage

I would love some TWRP action on this phone. Were you able to get it to display anything? The problem I had was it wouldn't ever get to the loading animation, apparently it was just segfaulting every 5 seconds or so.

I experience the slowness too, especially when compared to how fast cwm is for the triumph. But all things considered, I think just its bad a** that we have it at all. And it might not be that slow when I think about it, triumph roms are a much small in size than anything for the awe. -100mb less (maybe more) I have yet to experience any format issues though. I definitely appreciate all the hard work you fellas are putting into this. This phone has amazing potential, so glad to see it being realized.
