Root Rom will not install on droid x

This Guy

Lurker
I rooted my droid x yesterday and now it won't install any roms :'( I used the z4 root and d2bootstrap. I had ota gingerbread so i had to sfb back to stock froyo, then install a pre-rooted gingerbread. I am using rom manager to install roms (or try to). I downloaded liquid smooth roms, then clicked install zip from sd card, then found it in clockworkmod> downloads>. I don't know what "flashing a rom" is so that may help. Also, when i go into recovery, there is no option for "install zip from sd card.

I am grateful for any help. :)

I never have had much luck out of rom manager. Just download the rom from whatever link you choose and move it to the root of your sd card using a file manager app. I use astro file explorer but there are several others. Then boot into cw recovery and flash manually.

Install zip from sd card
Choose zip from sd card
Scroll thru till you find which one you want and select it
Scroll down and select yes

Depending on the rom you may need to wipe data/factory reset first. I always do but some say there's no need to.

You are in cw recovery and not factory rite?

what color is the text in your recovery?
Green is what you want, that's D2 bootstrap
White is bootloader recovery
Blue is stock recovery
