Root [ROM][WIP]CM11.0.p769-BobZhome

I used Metro's V10B_00.kdz(I can't find the link for it, but I'm pretty sure sammyz gave me the link for it) instead of t-mobiles V20B_00.kdz. I modified the LGMS769_AP[11].bin to root my phone.

Anyway, I updated my CWM recovery today...info in OP ;)

Gotcha.. hopefully i will be sayin good job on the ROM soon ;) thanks!

Updated OP...Happy Holidays!
Before flashing be sure to move any important stuff from your internal sdcard to your external sdcard, because the internal is going to disappear for good ; )

Does the T-Mobile WiFi calling (and SMS) feature work with this ROM?

And, do T-mobile Visual Voicemail and T-mobile My Account apps work with this ROM?

Do I have to do anything special to get any of the above to work?

If you read my questions more carefully, you will see that I didn't ask if they were included with the ROM. I asked if they work with the ROM and if there is anything special to do to get them to work with the ROM.

Me too, and I don't want to go to the trouble of attempting to unlock the bootloader if any of those 3 apps/features won't work with this ROM, since I use all 3 of them.

Upload those apk's some where and send me a link...I'll test them out and let you know. My phone is from MetroPCS, so I did not have those apps.

Seems the built in camera doesn't work in this build no worry tho. Just install one from the playstore :) Cool rom best I've had so far
Thanks for the heads up...I normally only use the camera with snapchat and instagram and didn't even realize the regular camera app was broken

Here's "T-Mobile My Account" on Google Play:

Here's "T-Mobile Visual Voicemail" on Google Play:

Apparently T-Mobile's "Wi-Fi Calling" is more than just an apk.
Here is some old info for a different phone, but it might provide some answers about what all is required. I suspect there have been some changes to "Wi-Fi calling" since this article was written.

Both apps install and run...Visual Voicemail totally works, but My Account gives my an Error message stating "Sorry, your account information is not currently available, please try again later." But I'm on MetroPCS, so I didn't expect either app to work for me.

As far as WiFi calling, there are plenty of apps that work.

Thanks for testing the 2 apps.

For WiFi calling, the T-mobile WiFi calling is not your usual 3rd party WiFi calling: It uses your actual T-mobile account, and allows your T-mobile voice and text to work over WiFi when you are in a location that has no or bad cell coverage (like at my house, which makes it a pretty important feature for me). It is basically automatic seamless WiFi roaming.

Thanks. FYI: The latest changelog update says "12-21-13:", just like the previous update. I assume you meant to change the date for the latest entry.

Google hangouts video calls are upside down don't know if it's the camera or the app but no worries. Tango works fine haven't tried it with anything else... Also my Bluetooth LG Tone+ headphones are staticky during calls sometimes and cause a black screen after calls, so I have to force reset the phone after. Not a big deal tho other then that I love this rom. Everything is up to date and nice. Just wish the GSlide apps worked but until then using Xposed frame work with holo floating windows you can find it via xda just google xposed framework

Thanks for the feedback! I confirmed that hangouts video call is upsidedown and will be fixed in next release. I have no issues with my generic(cheap) BT earpiece...calls are clear. I also use Xposed Framework, but what is GSlide apps  Link please

Yes I meant QSlide... It's the default multitasking feature in LG phones on stock. There located in the notification bar (video, calculator, browser etc.) it's like the holo floating window module in Xposed framework... Heres a link to a video of the LG G2 QSlide Apps -> QSlide apps on the LG G2 - YouTube

Now that you mention it, I too have noticed some battery anomalies. It does seem to drain somewhat faster while in use, and a little faster while sitting, than it used to. Not that big of a deal as far as the drain, but the charging issue is kind of annoying. Sometimes it takes forever to charge, sometimes not. I usually let it sit overnight and sometimes it's full when I get up and sometimes it is hardly charged at all. This has been going on for about a week now.

exactly, it forced me to go back to 10.2... and I LOVED kitkat on the L9, it ran smoothly and had the new color emojis, but the mild battery drain & the SLOW charge is too much
