Root Rom...

I had the Evo previous and the ROMs available were more than ample and included reliable heavy hitters (CM, miui, ect). I am kind of lost as far as the ROMs are concerned with the ET4G. Obviously I want stability but I am kind of at a loss as far as the device and its ROMs are concerned... I'd like some input

HTC phones usually get a lot of love over on xda, thus the ROM content is copious to say the least (I had an EVO myself). The reason for the lack of E4GT ROMs stems from the lack of CM7 or CM9 for that matter. A considerable amount of ROMs for the EVO were based off of CM7 (such as MIUI) as it gave developers a clean and almost stock version of Android to tweak and customize. However, the team at CyanogenMod has recently stated that phones with an Exynos processor are next in line to receive a CM9 treatment, and when it hits the possibility of ROM variety should increase, if developers are interested. In regard to stable ROMs for the phone currently, I have been running Calkulin's lastest version, which is by far the most stable and fastest ROM I have tested. There is a very stable version of MIUI (which should see plenty of updates now that the source code has been released), StarBurst and Blazer are quite stable, and there is a version of CM9 (alpha) out as well. Your best bet would be to read the comments at xda and decide which ROM fits your needs as a daily driver.

I am currently running CM7. There is a thread for CM7 and MIUI both on Rootzwiki. It seems the development for those has died off though. I know a CM9 Kang is being worked on right now (info at XDA). There are a few touchwiz based ROMs that are stable and right now those are the only ones you can use and keep 4G.

OP, since you had a EVO before I am sure you have seen Team Nocturnals ROMs. The team has created 2 swesome roms for the epic touch, one is Blend and the othe is xplod. Xplod is on several different phones at the moment. You should cruise ove to Team-Nocturnals website and check them out HERE. Lots of themes available for them both on XDA also. Just find the rom and you will see the link to the themes as well. Tell them BTR sent you.
