HTC phones usually get a lot of love over on xda, thus the ROM content is copious to say the least (I had an EVO myself). The reason for the lack of E4GT ROMs stems from the lack of CM7 or CM9 for that matter. A considerable amount of ROMs for the EVO were based off of CM7 (such as MIUI) as it gave developers a clean and almost stock version of Android to tweak and customize. However, the team at CyanogenMod has recently stated that phones with an Exynos processor are next in line to receive a CM9 treatment, and when it hits the possibility of ROM variety should increase, if developers are interested. In regard to stable ROMs for the phone currently, I have been running Calkulin's lastest version, which is by far the most stable and fastest ROM I have tested. There is a very stable version of MIUI (which should see plenty of updates now that the source code has been released), StarBurst and Blazer are quite stable, and there is a version of CM9 (alpha) out as well. Your best bet would be to read the comments at xda and decide which ROM fits your needs as a daily driver.
