Root Roms and bootscreens

I've got to say, I like the roms by req quite a bit. I enjoyed the cm7 despite the gps issues I kept running into which was my only gripe. So I've been trying out his stock++ which is getting around that so far. One thing I do miss is that awesome boot on cm7.

My question is, how would I go about pulling the boot from cm7 and putting it on the stock++ rom? I reeally dislike the metropcs starup and that annoying yellow triangle. Anyway to swap the startup screens?

With Root Explorer, you can go to /system/media and it should be there. Copy and paste it to your SD Card, then when you load up your favorite ROM, you can paste that file back in the same place. Always save your old/existing boot animation by renaming it with a .bak at the end.

I had issues trying to get boot animations to work with stock ++ I believe it has something to do with the play logo bin file (which allowed boot ani's on the beast) but its worth a shot. I honestly believe you need a qmg file though.
