The CPU speed of 768 MHz is generally accepted as the highest the Sprint HTC Hero can go stably. There is a kernel that enables 804 MHz, and I think it is called the God Mode kernel.

If I were you, I would stick with 768 MHz for stability's sake. Push it any higher and you will be experiencing shut downs and boot loops.

Is there a download for that. Too bad the hero couldnt run Project Elite. i flashed that on my Droid 1 from having bugless beast to PE now i use it for wifi txt and web and google voice sipgate calls. No carrier service. Its nice to overclock that rom at 1100 just a few more than 768 lol
