Root Roms?

Lurker
I have a DInc which a rooted some time ago so I can get wifi tether and get rid of all the bloatware. However I would like to install custom ROM. I already did the nandriod backup and also did Ti backup. Also installed ROM manager. What else do I need to do to load a custom ROM and also which is the best ROM out there that keep a little of the sense UI? Thanks

Have you looked here yet? There is a thread on every rom and what peoples opinion is.

Really depends on what exactly you are looking for.

As already pointed out, you should read up on each ROM you try. Pay special attention to whether a full wipe is required and whether installation with ROM Manager is recommended or not. Back up your SD card as well as your phone. Make a nandroid before doing anything, another once the new ROM is on there, and another once everything is set up and apps are restored to your satisfaction. Also, remember the cardinal rule - if you wipe, do not restore system data afterwards (or you'll regret it). And be prepared for a long wait on that first boot.

Virtuous is a good first ROM to try - it's basically stock with a few useful tweaks (like bloatware removal). No wipe required if you are coming from stock 2.2, and you can do the whole download and install with ROM Manager. Runs like a champ, too.:D
