hey there, i have rooted ascend and Icarus is the only ROM i know of, however it is a very nice one that i enjoy very much, as a suggestion your wife might really enjoy it with the HTC keyboard.

Icarus rom is currently the only ROM availabe that i know of. Icarus ROM just received an update fixing many of the bugs of version 1.0. I've downloaded v1.1 and works great. It made my phone way faster and more responsive. this version of Icarus includes Flash Player 4 which helps when watching youtube videos or videos in general.

If you go looking at myascend.org, They've got a couple roms. I'm personally running Icarus 1.1. I have wifi working, I can use MMS (Had to change a few settings but after that was fine), my market and everything else are doing great. No force closing and my boot up time is half what it was. It also takes but half a second to unlock when before it lagged like crazy. The style of Icarus is really really nice. So far nothing major has happened. Seems like smooth sailing!
