Root Root 2.1 *Complex* :)

I didn't check if there was /system/sd/app/ folder... SD was formatted, then partitions was formatted, phone was rebooting, card was reinserted... I think app2sd sees card - /data/app is actually on card. But the app itself says that disk isn't repartitioned.

app2sd when uninstalled stalls my phone, so I'm flashing new 2.1, repartitioning and formatting SD, installing app and it is always the same... Is it working on 2.1 rooted anyway?

P.S. I think it is working now. Checked /system/sd/app, /data/app, /data/dalvik-cache/ or what name this folder has... all points at sd. Drive watch showing app2sd, but Titanium backup still does not see it.

Free space 157 MB on the phone - isn't it too little?

No, I think it's OK. I have 161 but I uninstalled all stock games.

@amzar97 What exactly do you want to do? If you want 2.1 root + app2sd, follow the instructions. Otherwise, just ask and maybe someone knows how to help you in whatever it is you want to do.

Yes, that's the one. And one from somewhere else, I don't remember where from. Both didn't work with Titanium. Now I'm back to fresh 2.1 with your app2sd only - Titanium still doesn't show it but app2sd itself is working. 186 MB free on the phone, 80 MB used space on the sd card for app2sd.

Don't bother about titanium backup its useless... install xrecovery... 186free means your app2sd is working...

Enjoy and stop bothering that's my advice :-)

@coman_nick-I want 2.1+apps2sd but then AFTER i did everything until i rooted my 1.6,i checked the phone and i didnt have 'superuser' but only 'superuser permission'...so i decided to start from the beginning so i deleted 'superuser.apk' using root explorer then i unrooted my phone..but then,i realized that i still havee the 'superuser permission' icon..so what should i do?? AND when i press superuser permission, there is a root explorer...i installed root explorer after rooting my phone...what should i do??i really really need help

***Just to clarify the original post made by Suhel!***

1.Download Mini Tool Partition Wizard Home Edition v.5.2 (Free).

2.Use a memory Card reader and connect it to your
PC with your mobile phone s SD Card in it.

3.Just Copy Paste your existing data to a PC folder of your choise.
You dont wanna lose any data after partitioning the SD Card,do you?

4.Open the Wizard and locate your SD Card drive.
Be careful.Any mistake and you ll lose PC HDD Partitions after this step!

5.Click on the SD Card and delete existing partition/Format Card.
I dont remember the exact command, but anyway do what you have to do in order to have just unallocated space on your SD Card.

6.Create a PRIMARY FAT or FAT32 partition.
FAT32 if you have an sdcard bigger than 4GB!
(FAT only for smaller 2GB SDCards!)
Give it space. You ll only need 1-2GB for apps2SD maximum.

7.Create an PRIMARY EXT2 Partition (This is the one for apps2SD!).

8.Finally, click "apply" button on top left corner.
Partitions will be created and your SDcard will be formatted.

9.Copy Paste the data from Step3 back to the FAT32 Partition!

AND...

Now its time to follow instructions for Apps2SD enabling script!

Hope this helps some people like me (Mobile Rooting r etards! LOL) :D

@amzar97

It's really not that important what superuser you had. If you have root access (the definition of your phone being rooted) so you can proceed to step 3, it's all ok. Don't worry about the icon of superuser or name. And if you were able to delete superuser, you have root for shure.

@Blitz
6: I inderstand that max stable is 1.4GB. I thing you don't need more than 1GB for ext2 (app2sd)
1-9 OK :)

Thanks for the tip Nick! I used 1GB ext2! ;)
What can you say?
I finally did it! I m a persistent m otherf ucker baby! :D

Apps2SDCard mod Done! :)
Titanium Back Up Root PRO installed. :)
The app reports everything as expected!
Everything seems to be working ok!
Also whats not to like about a program with
"Chuck Norris Mode" in the settings! :D

Now off we go to BackUp everything using XRecovery
and proceed with the JIT Script for speed!

Screenshots please
I think you may be asking too much!
I mean I rooted the X8 and everything
but still cant take proper screenshots! :p

My advice is to just do everything from the beginning properly.
Its better than miss a step and/or end up with a brick!
