hey guys i got the mytouch with tmobile right now but im getin it unlockd and switching to simple my ???? is would the root or updating it mess with the carriers..

Chances are you might lose 3G and be stuck on edge.

With simple you should still have full 3G access. May gave to adjust apn for it to fully work or even to send mms but it should still be able to get working.
