I had a iPhone which I had jailbroke which was nice.

With my desire im running out of space for Apps, just like my old Nokia 6600.

I have a few questions before I jump.

If I root will I loose Sense UI? I love it as a UI and would hate to loose it, it was one of the reason I got the desire.

How hard is it to root. Not as simple as Spirit JB id guess.

Any tips I should know.

Thanks
Vince

I currently am running Leedroid 1.9 and it is brilliant. Fast, fairly stable, lots of features, and has Sense. Really recommend it.

Rooting doesn't affect your system, it only allows you to access the core system files as well as install apps that require root (screen shot, titanium backup). You'll still have the Sense UI.

Rooting doesn't require installing a different ROM. The old r6 method replaces the ROM with a very old version, and this method shouldn't be used any more.
