Hello,
although, I've googled, watched vidoes and tried it myself already, I couldn't get it working.
The forums here don't contain the info I need, so I posted this topic.
It's about rooting (getting the full access to the system) of an android 4.0.4 xperia arc build version: 4.1.B.0.431, model number: LT15i, kernel 2.6.32.9-perf BuildUser@Buildhost#1
However, I read it wouldn't be possible to root the 4.1.B version despite using the instruction in the first link.
So I downloaded:
- flashtool-0.9.8.0-windows.exe
- LT15i_4.1.B.0.431_kernel.ftf
- DooMLoRD_v1_Xperia-2011-ICS-ROOT-emu-busybox-su.zip
I started the flash tool, installed the drivers and replaced the firmwares with the downloaded ftf file.
Then I turned my phone off, pressed the button and plugged it in the pc.
Pressed flash, etc. and then ran the cmd command to run the dooomlord ICS root stuffs.
Nothing really happend except the apps being moved to other positions.
Plus, the 'superuser' app which should be actually created, wasn't there either.
I am confused, tired of searching 5 hours and can't really think of how to solve this.
