Root root but no root

badnaam

Newbie
I used the simple root tool from xda and it seems to have gone through nicely. I am back to what is supposedly a rooted stock rom.

But I don't see an option in manage applications to uninstall bloatware. I installed titanium backup and it keeps saying I don't have root access.

when I do a su in adb shell I get the following error

"the appication Superuser(process com.noshufou.android.su) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".

Please help!

These are the instructions I used. If you already created a gold card, skip that part and make sure you did EVERY step afterwards.

Also, make sure to install busybox (there's an option in Titanium Backup when you hit the problems button). Not sure if that's the problem but it's always a good idea.

I didn't use the easy root but I've used that video that leavinghome posted to root two inspires and it worked great. I would just follow the video and try to root that way.

Do you have sound? You might have just downgraded to the old Desire ROM. like #3 in the FAQ says you are only 1/3 of the way through. Keep going through all the steps if this is the case and u should have success.
