Does anyone think if i replace cwm with cwm touch would it flash
 
I have tried the CWM Touch before on the device... it does not work properly! I had to go back to the old one. This CWM installed by the AllInOnePackage you can either use the volume control + power buttons or you can use the 4 buttons at the bottom of the phone try it out.

what didnt work about it?
 
CWM Touch works OK on my Connect, sometimes it freezes up after hitting the back key, like after you flash something. Other than that it does the job, IMO better than the other CWM, where the soft keys become unresponsive.

yea make sure to use the official builds or newer builds myself or other reputable devs post.

If there are legit issues, I can build a updated img, but I just cant update to get new version #'s, officially anyhow. ;)

Believe the img I use is version 6.0.1.1, only issue I seen with it is adb push while in recovery seems to get lost in the process, and ofc no ums.

PG this does not belong to this threat but I made a stock rom VV3 but I can't make the root stick... could you help me on this? [ROM] MS840 VV3 Firmware 04-02-13

I have a newer version of touch if you want to include it. I didnt like EasyWifi, it saves and shares all wifi connections it finds. ;)

Manual Install:
  • Copy cwmrecovery.img to your sdcard
  • From terminal emulator on the phone type the following:
    Code: 
    su
    Code: 
    dd if=/sdcard/cwmrecovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13 bs=4096

Cloes out everything and that file and reopen it and click unroot and reroot it that's what i did same thing happened to me
 
Hey miami, thanks for putting this package together. The rooting is successful on my phone, but it never boots into CWM when trying to debloat. It reboots directly back into the android OS. I have the ZVA firmware. Help!
 
You need to reinstall CWM. As mentioned in another thread, I have the AIO script that roots and/or installs CWMTouch. PM me if you want it.

Another thing you can try:

Download or open Terminal Emulator if you have it.

>Enter "su" at the $ prompt
>If rooted you will see the prompt change to a #
>Enter "reboot recovery"

If your CWM is indeed there, you'll see it in a few seconds after reboot. If it boots up normally, reinstall CWM. Try the recovery a couple of times, the Connect is a bit quirky at times.

EDIT-- Sorry bout that...

Sometimes the de-bloat tool doesn't open CWM but files you wanted gone should be gone. Just enter CWM manually and do a data wipe, (after making sure bloat is gone first),that's the only reason debloat tool attempts to open it anyway. Make sure you backup any files you want to keep!!!!
 
Hmm, even when CWM does load (it did it about twice out of 7 attempts), the DOS prompt freezes and fails, never does anything. I'll try your other suggestions and see how it goes.

BUMP

Working on 3 of these handsets atm. To those that might still need....

Found archive of the recovery here - https://web.archive.org/web/*/http:...od/phones/LG/MS840/Recoveries/cwmrecovery.img - Doesn't flash right though for me so I just downloaded Rom Manager and installed via it.
