Root Root directory scrolling on screen

For the last couple of days my daughter has had what I can only call a root directory scrolling on her screen nonstop. It's file names and possibly it's the actual processes are phone is using at the time. How do we get rid of it? Is it something wrong with her phone? Everything seems to be working fine. Is it going to go away on it's own? Someone please help?? The phone is only 2 weeks old.

Do you recall what let to this?
Can you back out of it?
What have you done to try to get out of it?
Is it a full screen of, what I think you are describing is, a logcat.
The more info the better, so sorry for so many questions.
What rom are you on? Is the phone rooted?
Just need to know what led to this and trying to picture what you are describing that's all:D
 
She really wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary, just texting and it popped up on her screen. She tried restarting it and pulling the battery out for a few minutes. She cleared her memory thinking it was a memory issue. It's about an inch wide in the top right corner of her screen. There's a green red and blue bar at the top with 4.96/5.81/6.58. it just seems to be continuously scrolling web address and things her phone is running. she's on android version 4.0.3....in know nothing of these phones, tell me where to look for info and i'll look, lol!

that sound like an app I tried once, where you can view the phone processes on the main screens....just cant remember the name of the app....seriously....look for an app that you are not familiar with in the app drawer....I will look a minute for it...actually, a few minutes. But thats what it sounds like..:)
