You are kidding right? you have made a big progress. You got root for a whole boot cycle . Now you are a lot closer than anybody to obtain the root access. Goodjob!FFS. NVM IT WAS ONLY TEMPORARY ROOT. I GUESS THE APPS WERE MOVED BACK. WHEN I RESTARTED IT THE SECOND TIME. And the peenyo root I made keeps crashing
Im taking a break from the root. To work on a cynoagen mod for the fierce 2.
But if your willing to help with the root I could use these things
• An old android I can use to test for my root On all devices
• A windows XP disk to fix my computer
Or A PC to try my adb root.
• An SD card for my android 16GB
•and if you want my root apk that seems to work every so often, like its working currently. You can pay for it and I will give you a link. (The root seems to work after rebooting your phone twice , but until I releass a perm root you can pay for my beta. The perm will be free c: ) thanks so much .
But thanks for the the interesting points that I didn't explain before which could have indeed made it seem fishyCongratz on gaining root access!
However, I would just like to (respectfully) state state some fishy things going on here:
I just want to put this info out there for anyone not experienced with root methods here, but you're free to make up your own mind
- z4root was a rooting tool for Android way back to the versions of Froyo. The security loopholes it uses to gain root elevation were patched a long time ago.
- there never was an official z4root 1.4. z4root 1.4 on apk sites are generally malware. It only went up to 1.3 on the xda thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953
- all the files linked are showing up as Android malware. Now, I know a rooting tool in itself is very similar in structure to malware, but it is suspicious that the official rooting tools (Towelroot, Framaroot, etc.) don't get detected by antivirus programs as severely as these attachments were.
- pie root is a rooting exploit from last summer for motorola devices. Not TCL, and even with motorola it was only specific models. Something with that much specificity doesn't seem likely to run on Alcatel.
Eitherways, good luck to @oyneep if he has successfully made some progress. Hopefully we can all get this device rooted soon.
Anyone can say that they rooted a phone but won't share how.I gave up on this phone, and switched to the ZTE Zmax, i suggest everyone do the same
but the only downside is that we're in the same boat as this one.
No root ;-;
one guy did root it but he wont release it because people trolled him or something, either way, i lost hope for this thing.
I think we should all push our attention over to the zmax
huehuehue
its a much better phone than this one anyways, cause its a phablet
YES WE ALL HAVE BEEN WAITINGTemporary rootvis better than no root, now that you have that accomplished we should be able to find certain files and perform certain actions to make it a permanent root. If you could explain the steps you did to get root that would be awesome. I'm sure quite a few people here have been waiting forever for this including myself.
Thank you holmes
nah, I was on the thread, I understand why he didnt release it. He was being attacked and flamed by lots of people... over root.... which wasnt even finished. Then afterwards, he just threw his hands up and said okay **** it. nobody gets rootAnyone can say that they rooted a phone but won't share how.
Hell I've rooted the fierce 2, the zmax, and the f60 but I'm not telling how lol.
Edit: Just in case anyone gets the wrong idea this is a joke.
