Root Root galaxy note SGH-I717R

Been looking around the net. Can't find anything that tells me how to root the Samsung galaxy note SGH-I717R with ICS 4.0.4.

All the information i've found tells one how to root the international version.

any hints?

Here you go, since your model is exactly the same as the AT&T Note, root methods work just the same. Here is a guide that will work for all versions of the SGH-i717, including SGH-i717r.

which method did you use? there seems to be two. The one on the page that you refered me too called "How to Root AT&T Galaxy Note! [SGH-i717][AT&T][Rogers][Telus][Bell]"....then there is a link to a new method called "How to Root AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-i717! [ICS][Gingerbread][Easiest Method]"

I'm assuming using the second is the best option? just wanna make sure!

I didn't use either, I have the international Note GT-N7000, so these methods will not work for me. I would suggest using whichever method is easier for you.
