Root Root Help Please

Ive had my phone for just about a week now ive read everything about rooting your phone and what the advantages are but there's on problem...I realized after so manny atempts of rooting I'm running 2.2.2 FRG83G and please help me find a method to root. I cant downgrade because i own a mac is there a way i can downgrade on a mac or root it i need help who ever is attempting to root 2.2.2 good luck and please help. Im using an LG Optimus M of course.
