Root Root HELP PLZ!!!! HTC Wildire S (CDMA) ---- 2.3.4 version 2.1 build 3.0.1550.2 710RD

Hi im new to rooting and i have an HTC Wildfire S and need help rooting to install clockwork mod.

Android Version: 2.3.4
HTC Sense version: 2.1
Software number: 3.0.1550.2 710RD

I tried doing the htcDEV hack before but it said error and to downgrade to the 1.10.1000 something like that.

Also in fast boot, it says my HBoot is 1.10.0001

I don't have any direct answer to your question, but I would like to mention that there are other options than the htcdev route.
Someone more rooted D) in these matters can help you here, but you could browse through this guide (and the sub-guides).

I didn't do the htc dev route, I did s-off, and then unlocked, but it's a while ago and I forgot the details how i did it

Actually it is much simpler to gain S-OFF when having a CDMA phone than going through the htcdev route.
But make sure you root with the proper guide. CDMA phones will be rooted differently from GSM phones.
