Good morning,

How do I do nandroid backup of rezound before rooting the phone? I have unlocked my htcdev from htcdev.com and want to root it but wanted to take a good backup if I need to restore.

You would do it via the recovery. It's been so long since I rooted that I may be forgetting some stuff, but I'm not sure you can do a Nandroid backup of everything (system, data and boot images) without rooting first. Best you can do without rooting is an application backup. But since rooting doesn't destroy your system stuff (well, it may reset your customized system settings), it's OK to root and then do the Nandroid backup.
